I purchased this unit a few weeks ago and wanted to see how it would work out before I wrote a review. After having this unit for about 2 and a 1/2 weeks, I'm very happy and satisfied with this product. I live in East Texas and the summers here are very hot. I live in a 40ft fifth wheel RV that has 2 15K BTU ac units. The two units weren't enough to keep the r v cold during the extreme summer heat, which is why I bought this unit. The directions were very easy to follow, It also comes with an app so I can control everything on my phone, and the instalation was very easy. It has been running 12 hours a day, nonstop, for over two and a half weeks, very cold, no issues. It has a very powerful fan that you can set on different speeds, & is in my opinion,not loud at all. It was exactly what I needed. I also had to contact the factory for a few questions through email. Even though I was sending emails to China their response time was extremely prompt and I was very satisfied with the manner in which they responded to my needs in such a timely and respectful manner. I would definitely recommend this unit, not only for the quality of the unit, but well worth the $$, and also the customer service!

When our central HVAC went down in the middle of summer, the ZAFRO Inverter Portable Air Conditioner truly saved the day. This unit easily cooled our entire downstairs area, keeping every room consistently comfortable. What really stood out was how quiet it ran — even on higher settings, it never interrupted conversation or TV time. Beyond its cooling power, the ZAFRO proved extremely efficient. To my surprise, our electric bill actually went down, even with it running most of the day. The inverter design seems to make a big difference in energy use. As an added bonus, it also worked wonderfully as a dehumidifier, pulling that sticky moisture out of the air and making the whole space feel fresh and crisp. For reliability, performance, and comfort, this portable AC far exceeded expectations. It’s one of those rare products that delivers exactly as promised — and then some.

The 14,000 Btu unit has saved us from the Extreme heat warning in the south on top of our air duct having a leak and fighting with our home warranty company . This unit has been running for 59 hours and still has not been needed to drain . We first tried the black and decker brand and we were draining multiple times a day .It as a total piece of crap . Definitely recommend ZAFRO 14,000 Btu .

Buyer beware. I purchased this unit late in the year to be prepared for the summer of 2026, so I didn’t start using it for at least a month. It was immediately problematic. It had a delayed start and I believed that I probably just needed to figure out a program schedule thing. I would return the next morning to find it functional except for changing the settings was problematic. Next thing I know it was displaying an E0 error code. I eventually downloaded the app and discovered that the unit indicated that the unit was offline even though it was running. I contacted Zafro and after a great while they responded that they needed screen shots and other information for their engineers. Several emails later they offered me a 50% refund that I declined. Later they offered 60% which by this time I decided to accept. Now I’m in possession of a $200+ anchor because it doesn’t work at all. I contacted them again and requested that they would at least provide instructions to access the main board which is what their site indicated as the problem shown by “E0”. They now say the problem cannot be resolved by correcting the main board issues. Anyway I’m disgusted with the lack of support and I will not be buying any more Zafro products.

This ZAFRO 16,000BTU Portable Air Conditioner is my second ZAFRO AC unit that I have purchased this summer. I first purchased the 14,000BTU unit earlier in the summer for my main bedroom. Being pleased with its performance and how quiet it was (it is probably one of the quietest, if not the the most quiet portable A/C I have seen in the market), I decided to pick up the ZAFRO 16,000BTU unit for my living room as well. I live on the top floor of my building with south facing windows, so it gets really hot in the summer time. Both of these ZAFRO units have been performing very well this summer to keep my place nice and cool. And one of the benefits of have two ZAFRO Portable ACs is that you can add both units on to their app, and then you can use your phone or tablet to control both devices, which is really a nice and convenient feature! They also look good and are not overly large or heavy, like other air conditioners I have had experience with in the past. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase, and would recommend these two units without hesitation!

Absolutely the Best Portable Air Conditioner! This ZAFRO 14,000 BTU (10,000 BTU SACC) Smart Inverter Portable AC is amazing! It cools quickly, runs ultra-quiet, you barely notice it on and is completely worth every penny, honestly, the best investment we’ve made for our apartment and we now sleep like babies all night! We’ve had it for about four months now with zero issues or concerns. The app control and remote make it super convenient, and the drainage-free cooling feature is a huge plus. I just wish I’d discovered this product sooner! We totally recommend the 14,000 BTU model to anyone looking for an efficient, quiet, and reliable portable air conditioner. You won't regret it.

installed in a garage game room. the only issue is know where to vent it first.

The unit worked well - for the first 4 months (end of summer in Texas). Second season the unit started to not honor the setpoint and at times did some odd things like turning the fan off when it was set to manual mode. I contacted the manu for warranty support, only to find out there is no warranty support. Yes, there is a "1 year warranty" -- all I was ever offered was advice on cleaning filters (which I had already done) and when that did not work, a partial refund. That is it - no real warranty on the product, defects, etc.
