Review: Perfect, no problems at all Review: I bought two of these MikroTik CRS304-4XG-IN switches in order to provide a logically isolated 10Gb storage network over the same physical wiring as my main 1Gb household LAN. The key takeaway is that the existing category 5E trunk wiring run from the basement to the second floor is short enough to support 10Gbps line speeds without rewiring with category 6A. Configuring two VLANs to perform this feat took some time to work out, but the end result works beautifully. MikroTik makes excellent quality hardware that runs their well supported and regularly updated RouterOS software. I built my initial configuration using Microsoft CoPilot. The resulting script is easily imported into the switch for testing. However, there were a couple of aspects of the AI-created configuration that weren't quite right. At that point, it was necessary to make a trip to the MikroTik website to read the detailed VLAN documentation. This filled in the remaining fuzzy bits to create the final, successful configuration. The switch is not really a consumer plug-and-play class device so you will, likely, have to exert some mental effort in order to achieve your desired objective. However, this highly capable device will not be the limiting factor in getting you there. If you have the use case, this is a terrific product!

Excellent switch administrable avec 4 ports 10 Gbe, ainsi que 1 port d'administration pouvant être utilisé en 1 GbE. Aucun souci à l'utilisation, on connecte et ça fonctionne. Les débits sont bien là, dans le plus grand des silences (spécifiquement conçu pour fonctionner sans ventilateur, la structure interne étant un gros radiateur), et sans chauffer (à peine tiède après plusieurs heures d'utilisation). Pour l'avoir testé, le switch est capable de négocier autant le 10 GbE que les normes précédentes si on y connecte des interfaces moins rapides.

The unit comes with a power adapter that isn't US/CAN, it comes with a "plug adapter", but it has no locks so it's useless without having to buy a replacement "plug adapter" (like a travel one) or replacement AC adapter
