A Decent Reproduction: You'd never know unless you tried the real thing!
TLDR: If you're looking for a pair of boots for life, these ain't those. These are excellent reproductions though, and at the price point (I paid $113) an excellent value for the quality of materials and workmanship, reproduction or not (more on that later). I gave 5 stars because these are very decent boots at a very decent price. Rothco has a niche in their reproduction boot offerings: They cost a little more than similar reproductions, but are much higher quality. Superior (US made) boots will cost 2-5x as much as the Rothco boot ... but are also of higher quality than the Rothco boot. It is *personal preference* whether the US made boots are WORTH the premium price. These jump boots are very inexpensive compared to the US made 'Paratrooper' Jump Boots, but check off most of the 'boxes' of the US-made boots. Brass nails, storm welt, replaceable heel and sole, steel shank, spit-shineable durable leather, all [check]. Even upon close inspection they very much look like Corcoran/HH Brown/ etc. jump boots. The *weight difference* between the Rothco and the 'original' is astonishing though - for me, the weight means thicker and more durable construction/materials. For those that don't plan on invading Europe by air, the extra weight might just be extra weight. My Rothco jump boots were about a half-size larger than the same-size Corcoran 975 and 1550 Jump Boots (so *not* the Munson last), and maybe because boots of this type of construction need time, effort, and use to form-fit around the feet. One could wear the Rothco boots immediately. One cannot wear Corcoran 'new boots' and walk extensively without being a masochist.

They run one (us) size bigger
These boots run one size bigger for instance i usually wear a (us) 7 and that's what I ordered at first and the boots didn't fit me they were a size (us) 7.5 or 8 but I didn't even try to return them because there's a warranty note you get with the boots saying that if there is any sign of wear and tear you will not be refunded. So i reorder a size 6 being the equivalent to (us) 7 they fit me good. I wore them in my house for a full day and i noticed that the leather is not very stiff at all i started noticing the breaking in process on the leather after like 30minutes or so and the boots felt comfortable so i decided to take them to work the next day. At work I noticed that the most uncomfortable part of completely breaking in the boots is the inner soles forming to your feet i could feel a couple of hotspots on my feet but that only lasted two days after those hotspots disappear. The boots where waterproof/resistant only for two days as well, on the third day my boots started soaking in water but I handled that with exchanging my wool socks for a dry pair at my lunch break because the boots do get rid of the excess water by them self the more you walk on them so they're not soaking wet they're just humid Wich is surprising for "leather" boots. By Friday (the last day) i noticed that the boots where they receive the most stress where the toes bend, are peeling a material similar to vinyl... Probably what made the boots waterproof/resistant so i don't know if the boots are actually leather but they do have the feel and smell of leather. That's my experience with this boots so far i will update if i notice more things going on with the boots.

Decent boots
Boots are good and will meet the requirement for a period specific costume piece. They will surely provide adequate ankle support. The horrible spray painted finish is brutal to remove if you want to actually make them look more realistic. After a couple of weeks for break-in (which is expected) they fit pretty good. Definitely buy at least one size smaller; they run very big. I usually wear an 11.5 (US). These are 10.5 and a 10 would have been better

Gorgeous!
Like the military issue (with no zipper), but a more comfortable sole, all ready for spit polishing. Good quality boot, high top for added ankle support and foul weather. Highly recommend!

Go two sizes down or don't buy them (cheap leather).
Real CHEAP leather, but shineable (as advertised). The sizing measurements are way off on these boots; I returned mine only two days after purchase because right out of the box I was immediately disappointed by the odd, large sizing of the boot and it's unadvertised wide toe size. Needless to say, they didn't fit and I was super disappointed. I even bought a size smaller than my usual boot size, so go two sizes smaller if you do purchase these or just save up like I'm doing for the better quality, more authentic, and actually made in the US brown Corcoran jump Boots. Definitely not Rothco's best stuff that's for sure.

Decent Boots
The boots are of a decent quality, especially when considering the price. I usually wear size 7 in men's. After reading some of the reviews advising to order one size down for a good fit I did so. Indeed the size 6 that I had ordered fit me like a size 7, maybe just a bit tighter, but the boots are nice and snug on my feet, just the way I like it.

Good look, so be comfortable, fabric?
I am happy with these so far. I love the look and the fit. They do take quite a few wears to break in though and you will have sore feet for a few weeks I'll tell you that now. One concern that another customer brought up which I agree with is that I'm not sure if they're actually real leather as they claim. I do feel that in certain places whatever material this is is going to peel off. I used to work in leather and this doesn't seem to be real leather, it may be a hybrid. Which does exist these days. So I gave them a good review but I guess buyer beware. We will see what their fate is in a month
