While our daughter is serving overseas in the military, we had to rescue her cat from her "friends" who had promised to take care of him in her absence. He'd been feed poor quality food that had caused him to become obese, he'd been ignored and left outside to be beaten up by a neighbor's cat, and was in bad shape all around. In the time I've had him, I've put him on a healthy diet and he's well on his way to a healthy weight, and I've tried to get him to exercise more. The only exercise he has enjoyed is playing fetch with metal bottle tops from soda or beer bottles. We have a large house with tile floors, so if you throw the bottle tops, they bounce everywhere and make a skittering sound on the tile. For him, it's like chasing mice. He'll bring them back and demand that you throw them again. And again. And again ... Playing fetch has been good exercise for him (and for me when he expects ME to retrieve the bottle cap to him), but it isn't enough. I wanted something more that provide new stimulation and keep him entertained when I'm too busy to throw bottle caps. I've read a lot of reviews of interactive cat toys, and I've ordered some of those. This catnip snake was on one of those lists, so I thought it might also be worthwhile. I'd picked up a cheap little catnip mouse at the grocery store, and he just gave it a disgusted look and walked away. This sounded like it might have a higher grade of catnip, so I was hopeful that it might get him interested enough to play with it. Boy, did that do the trick. It came in the box of other things I'd ordered from Amazon, and I forgot to pull it out of the box. I found him digging through an open Amazon box on my desk, and went over to see what had captured his interest. I found this at the bottom of the box, and he immediately pounced and grabbed it away from me. I chased him down to get it back and remove the cardboard backing it was attached to, then tossed the snake across the room. He went after it like a lion after a gazelle and attacked. His primal cat instincts took over, and he bit and clawed and tore at the thing like prey he was trying to eat. This behavior reminds one that these cute little kitties really are fierce hunters. After a few minutes, he was still tearing at it like crazy. I was afraid he was going to rip it to shreds, so I took it from him. There were teeth marks where he'd been chewing, but it is still intact. I put it up out of reach, and then turned his attention to a new interactive toy while he was still excited. He played with the interactive toy for about another 20 minutes, then passed out on the floor. He's always been a calm and friendly little cat, but last night he dragged around the house like a little kid who'd been to the circus. He slept all night long, ate his entire breakfast in one sitting (which he usually spreads out over the entire morning), and passed out again. I think the mental and physical workout he had yesterday was just what he needed. He was worn out from all the play. I let him play more today,. and he enjoyed it all over again. If this keeps his interest, I'll plan to buy another when the catnip in this one starts to fade.

My kitties have EVERY Cosmic Catnip toy that I can get my hands on. I guess for a cat nip toy you could call them pricey, but they are worth every cent. They have the banana (nip nanner), the carrot, the fish (nip fishy), the chili pepper, and the discontinued orange mouse was just thrown into the trash after 3 years! It was totally empty. The snake (nip snakey, of course) arrived today and they love it. What I love about these toys, and why I don't mind the price, is first and foremost, the cats love them and play with them for hours. Second, they are quality canvas. It's thick and can withstand bites and claws. The nip comes out I guess, because they have emptied several, but you never see it. It's gradual. You'll see little teeth marks like a tiny vampire got hold of it, but you'll never see a tear or hole. Also, the catnip smells of good quality (minty, and an easily detected scent to my human nose, unlike some cheaper toys) and each and every toy of this brand has always been packed absolutely full of it. I have only seen these sold in one major pet store chain, and the price on Amazon is the same, and the variety is better. Treat your furry ones to a toy they will love.

OurPets 100-Percent Catnip Filled Toys for Cats, are EXCELLENT CATNIP TOYS!! When I found these Catnip Toys on Amazon.com, I thought I'd give them a try. I give my cat, Abby Joy, several Catnip Toys throughout the year, including her Birthday's & Christmas. She has LOTS & LOTS of Catnip Toys, most of which she only played with for a short time, and then quickly FORGOT them! When I bought OurPets 100% Catnip Filled Toys, (she absolutely LOVES the yellow BANANA'S), she plays with them EVERY SINGLE DAY! She holds onto them with her arms, bites, licks, and kicks them, and bats them around the floor! I have NEVER had the RESPONSE to Catnip Toys that I've given to her in the past, like the RESPONSE that she has for THESE! These have a VERY STRONG Catnip Odor, that Lasts, & Lasts, & Lasts! You smell it when you open your package, and give the Catnip Toy to your Cat. Many Months can pass while my Cat constantly plays with them, and I leave it on the floor for her to access it at any time, and even now I can pick up any one of them, and they STILL have a STRONG CATNIP ODOR! I think that is WHY she chooses to play with THESE, instead of all the others I've gotten her over long periods of time! I No Longer buy any OTHER Catnip Toys, But THESE! These 100% Catnip Filled Toys by OurPets, have definitely EXCEEDED mine, and Abby's, EXPECTATIONS!!! I just ordered & received 4 more OurPets Catnip Toys for my sweet Abby Joy, (2 for Christmas, and 2 for her Birthday next August)! These Catnip Toys ARE a bit PRICEY, at about $5.00 and UP per Toy! Sometimes you can find them on Amazon.com as an (ADD-ON ITEM), which makes them just a little more affordable, at a little under $5.00. This Snake Catnip Toy is VERY GOOD, but I ALWAYS try to find & buy OurPets 100% Catnip Filled Yellow Banana's! For some unknown reason, Abby Joy loves the BANANA better! But she'll play w/both! ALL IN ALL, THESE CATNIP TOYS ARE, BY FAR, THE BEST YOU CAN BUY ON THE MARKET! I will Continue to buy these OurPets 100% Catnip Filled Toys UNTIL I can no longer find them, ANYWHERE!!

My cats love this snake. It is filled with catnip they go crazy for, but these do not seem to be made of fabric that is as durable as it used to be. I've been buying them for a few years now. One of my cats is quite viscious to catnip toys and ripped a hole in it the second time he got a hold of it. The catnip is very fine, and goes everywhere, so I had to take it away from them to save having a mess. The catnip is still good, so I will have to make a new cover, maybe out of some old denim. If your cat is not so rough, it would probably be fine, as they are not really flimsy.

I recently discovered that Cosmic made catnip toys as well as offering the catnip leaves by themselves. This toy is a new favorite of my cats (the cactus toy from Cosmic being their absolute 'bestest') I like that this toy is long...it allows the animals to cuddle with it when done with playing; and they DO nap with it. I can grab one end and play with the cat with no danger of getting claws in my fingers accidentally. They can also bunny kick it. All due to the size and shape of the toy. Probably most importantly, the catnip inside is quality. I would expect nothing less from Cosmic since my cats love the leaves and buds they offer. The scent doesn't diminish much with time. I bought another toy after two months as a 'back up' for when the toy was no longer appealing. I simply put it in a plastic bag to diminish and scent loss; it is still sitting in their toy bin. The original is still holding up well after 3 months.

What can I say but both my cats love this more than any of the other "kicker" toys, even the big ones. I have one from years ago that still smells like catnip, and I buy fresh ones every once in a while. They love to hug these, kick them with their hind legs, sit on them and hide them under the furniture. I'm surprised that they haven't even torn off the eyes or tongues yet, and these get a lot of use. Well worth the money.

Well the catnip is very strong and sweet smelling- my five cats LOVED it! I had to limit their time with it as they were starting to fight over it. It lasted barely two weeks, was hollowed out and turned inside-out! Next time I shall buy at least five of them...I think it is an excellent product, the fact it lasted two weeks is a miracle, as my cats have all their claws and were 'killing' it on an hourly basis! I know from experience a cheaper product wouldn't have lasted a day.

For whatever reason, my cat has not taken to the snake as much as she did to the banana and carrot version of the same toy. I have put both it side to side with one of the other two, and she will always grab the other ones. I have no idea if I just got one with a bad batch of catnip. I personally think it's cute, and will hope she warms up to it eventually.

Solamente lo tire al suelo y en 10 segundos ya estaba siendo víctima de mi gata. Lo mordisqueo todo y como no le hizo nada de daño lo comenzo a lamer hasta que lo empapo todo y a frotarse la cara en el, cuando la levante para moverla de lugar ni siquiera lo soltaba... debe estar muy bueno

Compre este juguete para mis gatos y simplemente les encanto. Me duro como aproximadamente un mes pero jugaban con el todo el dia. El unico problema que le veo es que se ensucia muy rapido.

No duró mucho tiempo antes de que lo rompiera y saliera el catnip
