It is such a great product which thickens and enhances your hair at the same time covering the gray hair. The thicker the hair the longer the product should stay (at least 75 mins) I usually add a full spoon of olive or Aegean oil in the mixture with warm water. If your hair is light in colour or fine hair 35-45 minutes will do. My hair is very thick and dark but half of it is gray. After applying the henna, i cover my head with a plastic /cling film sheet for 45 mins then I remove the plastic to allow the hair/ head to breathe and let the henna dry on my hair for further 30 minutes. No need to cover if your hair is fine.

I don't really have a comparison as I probably haven't used a henna dye on my hair since I bought some from Body Shop when I was about 12. It was easy to use. Obviously it's messy but that's henna! I liked the colour but with it being henna even when it looked like it was washed out completely I was getting green on my pillow & in my hairbrush. That's the only reason it's not 5 stars - that & henna doesn't last as long - but again you know that's what you're getting with this type of product.
