1420BK Tall Azura Urn Planter, Black

For several summers we have put a red geranium on our front porch in a big pot. This year I decided I wanted to put it in a footed planter--to just lift it up a bit and see if it made a difference. I saw this urn planter and ordered it. It came quickly and we put this out on in the same place as in years past. We did add some dirt in the base of it because it is quite light weight--another reviewer mentioned that. We live in a windy region and we didn't want it to blow over. This sufficiently fixed that issue for us. We put a bright red geranium in it like we usually do.A lady stopped me in the grocery store and told me how nice it looks--she said it makes it POP! and that she notices it every time she drives down my street. That was just what I wanted to hear! For just a few dollars, raising up the same kind of plant made a big difference in our "curb appeal." We're not selling our house, but it's always nice to hear how good it looks!

I bought 2 of these in April of 2014. I live in New England so they are exposed to all kinds of weather. They sit on each side of my front door and I change out the plantings/decorations seasonally. Last fall one of the urns developed a large open crack. It may be because there are no drainage holes. I like them so I am ordering a replacement. I'm also going to put a small drainage hole in the older one and the new one. You need to put some sand or stones in them as ballast.

I purchased two of these planters and they both were too light to hold dirt and plants and fell over multiple times despite my putting gravel in them to weigh them down. The tops would topple off the stand with least wind. I will be ordering some others in clay material or some sort of concrete product. I would have asked for a refund but it was too late.

Looks nice on either side of my garage door. It is a bit smaller in diameter than I thought, but I am still happy with purchase. BTW, I ended up using black robes to secure them to the wall because I am afraid when windy they will fall since made of plastic and very light.

Hey, they're cheap plastic but they work fine. From a distance who can tell if they cost $20 or $129, I'm glad I didn't have to pay that for a fancy ceramic version from a magazine! All I use them for is for my Halloween pumpkin topiary. And they do great for that. They're sturdy and even on the bottom and I think they will hold up for several years.

Very fancy for being plastic, however they got so hot in the sun that they warped and nearly melted! This was in direct sunlight in 100 degree heat though. But since it's hot here a lot, we moved them inside. They don't look like plastic from a distance.

Nice size, look nice. My only concern is potential durability, but for now it's fine. It is plastic, & not very heavy duty so we'll see. For the price though, it looks nice, & it's a good size.

These are exactly what I expected, and less expensive than a comparable product at Home Depot or someplace else. I needed these for a memorial that I was building, and I painted them with spray stone and they suited the purpose incredibly well. Pretty sturdy. A good value.
