Overall I really like this cat toy; it works well and has lots of choice for the cat to play with and find which toy she likes best. Pros; It has a long rod (reminds me of a fishing rod) so easy playing with the cat and hands don’t get accidentally caught up in the fun There are plenty of cat toys to chose from. My cat doesn’t like the fluffy duster looking one because it makes her sneeze but she enjoys the rest and the fish with the ribbon is her favourite I like that you can change the toys on the end of the rod. They easily unclip so the cat can play with them on her own (she likes to bat the fish around) There are a couple of changeable lines that hang from the rod in case they break. Cons; The lines that attach to the rod are made from some sort of plastic, an elasticated string may be better to stop the rod from bending so much or durability as I imagine the plastic lines won’t last too long. The rod is extendable and extends quite far but I can only use it at its most extended. When I try to use the rod either not extended or extended part way the rod is loose and moves between extended and not extended, so it would be better if there was some sort of stoppage at each extendable point so you can choose the length you want. My cat was initially scared of the rod because of its length but with a little coaxing she got used to it.

Probably the best cat toy I’ve come across. My cat loves it and it’s so easy to use, playable even when I don’t have a lot of energy. You also get different attachments and there are multiple wands so the cat gets variety.

Our cat loves the rainbow wand. It is the first toy that she actually plays with, all others have been ignored. It gives her a good workout and then she is ready for a long sleep giving us some peace!

When it says retractable... yes it shrinks down to less than 30cm but you can't lock it in at this size. It can only be locked when at full extension. The full extension us good, and does allow a much further reach than usual toys- but my cat immediately took a disliking to this and hides as soon as the toy is used in play. The feather attachments are great, very bright. But the bells can't be removed. The orange neon snake thing is a bit lethal - its got two stuck on googly eyes! They were removed straight away to prevent the cat from possibly chocking on these at a future date when playing with the toy. They weren't hard to unstick. The rod has two additional attachment peices to connect the rod to the feathers. One clear plastic and one black material. Great you might think- except you can't remove the one that's already attached. The spare plastic one was longer than the existing and the black material one had a broken hook so couldn't be attached. I was really excited for this toy as we have an indoor cat. He loves similar toys - stick +string+ball or feathers but absolutely not a fan of this. Despite its flaws,some cats might love it and it would be a great toy to buy.

The best cat toy I have ever had - they love it - particularly 'the worm' on the wand. Its holding up well. Nothing has broken and its been put through some vigorous play. They can't get enough of it. And the best thing is as the wand is quite long extended,is that ypu can stand relatively still and the cats do all the running!

Okay...I get it. My cat is a brute. No seriously, she's a Maine Coon and I fear for my safety on a daily basis unless I please her to her liking. So it's no wonder that I've ordered this same product multiple times over the last few years. It wasn't the product's fault. She's a beast. Think Dante's Inferno. Carnage in her path. She plays hard and fast. And this product stood the test of time. Until now. So there's some new changes. The fishing line has gone. Yes, the fishing line could tangle and warp easily but what it had going for it was durability. It stood the test of time despite the damage. When the gates of cat hell would open the fishing line could hold against my Beelzebub..but no more. The fishing line has been replaced with a thin piece of black elastic which lasted 2 minutes into the first play until my cat was able to..what can only be described as..circumcising the line within 30 seconds. A sight to behold. I retreated to the kitchen and changed my pants. Bemused and triumphant was the cat. Bemusement soon turned to anger that play had stopped. The second change was the tip of the rod. Previously the rod attached to the fishing line had been strengthened with the same metal to forge the ring of Mordor. Unfortunately not any more. This broke on the second play and my cat devoured the tip only to rejoice in joy of destroying this part and then consuming it. Possibly for her own enjoyment...or possibly because of the potential bowel obstruction she knew it would cause that I would then have to deal with later (yeah..she's that wicked). In all seriousness though...you had a great product going. It was robust before and now it's not. Insert sad face (insert angry cat face more so). If you're interested, I'd happily volunteer my cat for some cat toy testing facility if such a thing exists however I fear she'd probably burn the place down on day one. I'm giving it 3 stars (that would have been 5 with no changes) and the cat is giving it 1 star after the changes...however she is also insisting on restitution and is offering the life of one human soul (mine) for this product to be restored to its former glory. Send Help. Changing the review back to 5 stars - the sturdy fishing line has returned!
