I have a lot of sons so we have been through a LOT of RC cars in the $40-50 dollar range. They never last long - they break easily, the charge only lasts for about five minutes, and there's no ability to replace or adjust parts. With that in mind, we decided it was time to spend more money to get something that would be worth the investment. This car is worth the money! The level of improvement over your average $40 Walmart RC car is huge. First of all, right out of the box you see that it has tons of extra parts and a full diagram with labelled pieces so that your can repair anything that goes wrong. But, so far, we've had no problems with our car. We've driven it rough - lots of crashes, flips, getting stuck, and it's held together so well. The bottom is a heavy metal plate that protects the undercarriage of the car from a lot of incidents that have ruined our previous cars. Second, this car moves FAST. It is so much fun to drive. It's got great handling for us and does great at all kinds of driving. And, we've mostly kept it on 70% with our kids driving. We all want to take turns with it Third, the battery life is great considering how fast it moves. The battery pack definitely lasted 20 minutes for us, and with a 2nd pack included you get some serious runtime out of this car. No, this car isn't for littles. It's billed as being for adults so be aware of the differences from your usual toy cars if you're looking to get this for kids. But even for our young kids (8+), this has proved worth the money ESPECIALLY when you compare it to other RC cars we've gone through. And seriously, you're not going to want them to drive it because you're going to want to use it yourself.

I'd like to start by saying I don't typically review things, so let that be your first indication of how good this little truck is. I grew up playing with nitro trucks and pretty high end electric trucks from the big 3 brands and also currently own a ECX Ruckus. So let me be the first to tell you that this hobby is typically more repairing trucks than actually driving them. It's hard to go a more than 3 or 4 batteries before you break a control arm or break CV axle or fry a differential and I'm sure a lot of others would agree with that statement. Enter this little 1/14 scale ripper. After charging the included batteries(it comes with two batteries and two chargers which is pretty sweet), I took it out for some bashing around my neighborhood, jumping curbs, drifting, chasing cars on the street, etc. I was immediately blown away with this speed. This is quicker than anything I've driven before and the acceleration is honestly mind blowing. The four wheel drive gives it an incredible amount of grip. This things digs hard on take off and will even pop the occasional wheelie depending on the road surface. It handles like it's on rails and tracks pretty well after a little bit of steering trim. There is little to know steering wobble, even in reverse and it turns tight and fast, even at speed. As far as durability goes; I don't think it's possible to break this thing. Mines suffered dozens of hard flipping crashes, hit straight on into curbs, been launched twenty feet in the air off of BMX jumps and has suffered little to no damage. I did crack one body, but they give you three total, so no biggie. No control arm or suspension breakage, the shocks are all still in great shape, no frame crack. Honestly I'm blown away. The plastic does feel a little cheap, but I think that's where the durability comes from. Things just bend and pop right back into shape. I think they have found the key to RC plastics! Overall this is an amazing little truck and would be a great start truck for a kid, but it's also incredibly fun as an adult and is probably a better choice than a lot of much more expensive trucks if you just want something invincible to bash around the neighborhood.

The TenSpeed 1:14 4WD RC car is an absolute blast. It is stupid fast—easily faster than anything I’ve owned before—and it makes driving it incredibly fun, even as an adult. On top of that, you get two batteries and two chargers, which is a huge bonus. Battery life is solid. I consistently get about 20–30 minutes of runtime, which is great for this type of RC car. Durability has been impressive as well. This thing has taken hits from curbs, stairs, and general rough use, and it just keeps going. It feels nearly indestructible. The large airless-style tires rip through grass, gravel, and dirt easily. The shocks and provided tires keeps everything stable at high speed, minimizing bounce and maintaining excellent control. Overall, this RC truggy delivers insane speed, rock-solid durability. Whether I'm bashing or flying across open terrain, it exceeded my expectations in every way. Fast, durable, and way tougher than it looks. Handles dirt and rough ground like a champ, handles jumps and jumps. The plastic top needs to be more enforced. Super fun little truck, totally worth it and I appreciate that the company offers upgraded batteries and accessories. That kind of support makes a difference.

This is an amazing value and great truck! It comes with multiple bodies, two batteries, two sets of wheels and tires, two chargers, plenty of spare parts in case something breaks and so much fun! It's fast, but easy to control. My 6 year old got the hang of it pretty quick on the 70% mode.
