I finally have a weed wacker that starts without hesitation, takes regular gasoline (no mixed gas laying around for kids to put in lawnmower by mistake) and the string functions like it should. I know don’t mind to weed wack!!

I love this trimmer. Based on my research, I replaced the Trimmer head before I even used the unit. I installed a Husqvarna 537388101 Universal T35 trimmer head. The research I found said that the Honda trimmer head is a terrible design. The trimmer is very well made (typical Honda). It is way quieter than the 2-stroke Stihl that I previously had. It has a lot of torque, and so you hardly have to rev it much. It is a little pricey, but I figure that it is a Honda & should last forever. I am using it on my 5 acres with lots of fencing & flower beds ect. So far, I have been tickled to death with it.

Some have called this cutter a "workhorse". Not sure what they are comparing it to, but my Stihl, at about half the price, has about a third more power and is twice as annoying to use. That said, the Honda is much more user friendly. No special gas to buy. Always starts on the first or second pull and cuts fine for all but the toughest situations. If it lasts till I die it will have been worth the exorbitant price, I guess.EDIT I have to take back the part about no special gas to buy. I used it two years on pump gas containing ethanol. All pump gas around here contains ethanol. I am now having the same problems with fuel feed as I had so often with my other cutters. Won't run at wot. So it looks like you DO need to buy buy special no-alcohol gasoline at around $20 a gallon. Just don't have to buy the one with oil in it or mix it yourself. Carb is cheap to replace, though. It burns a lot of gas, so might be worth it to just replace the carb every year.

It’s a quality weed eater that has a great engine on it. I got the 35cc engine and I don’t have to go over half throttle to cut through anything. The weed trimmer head isn’t great but I brought a different head to compensate for that. My dad always said when you buy for yourself you buy the best. This is a quality weed trimmer that I will have for ever. The 4 star is because of the shipping time. It shouldn’t take 3 weeks to get here

I have owned this trimmer since 2017 and have yet to have to pull it twice to crank it. It is powerful, quite and fuel efficient. It cuts anything and everything. I usually run it at half throttle to cut most grass and weeds, but it has plenty of power to also handle the tough weeds. I put an aftermarket head on it and it made it a joy to run. I can't say enough good things about this trimmer.

On the first pull, this starts up and purrs like a kitten. I was a big fan of my Hitachi 2 cycle, but I’m switching teams. I’m a 65 year old, 5’4” grandmother and I sure appreciate a quick starting piece of lawn equipment. This is actually easier to load than the Hitachi spools.I purchased a speed feed head because of the reviews, but I’ll wait to use it because this isn’t so bad, new, anyway.I’m hoping to enjoy this for many years to come. I also purchased the blade arbor kit and harness. I’m all set.I think you would forget about the initial cost if you felt this thing run. Absolutely no vibration. No more numb fingers. Loving my purchase!!!I took off 1 star for value because I feel like they should have included the blade kit and harness for that price. It comes with a baby harness, but not the good one.

This product is NOT returnable for any reason! I paid $431 and the product does not work! When I tried to return the trimmer I was told they could not accept it because it had been gassed. The string in the trimmer gets tangled and will not feed through. I was told to contact the manufacturer who will not accept a return but will service it. I do not want it serviced! I just want my money back for a defective product. I had to contact my bank to depute the charge. I do not recommend this product or seller.
