This is a great natural shampoo if you learn how to use it right. I reached out to the manufacturer on how to and they responded quickly but non-cohesively. So I learned how to use by trial and error. Since I had used soap nuts in the past, it did not take long. I want to share my method. There is an art to it just like cooking. You need to determine what the right amount and concentration of the shampoo is going to be for your hair type. For my very fine not chemucally treated hair, I use 1 Tbsp and add a very hot (boiling) cup of water and let the mixture steep for a day or two or if I am keeping it longer than I place it in the refrigerator after a day. For washing, I do it over a sink. I dont believe that if you just pour the liquid over your hair it will work. I place a cup or 2 in the bowl of comfortably warm water in the sink, then pour the shampoo mixture over my already wet hair and catch the run off in the bowl. Then, scrub the scalp and hair, as I keep pouring the run off that is collected in the bowl over your hair, massaging the hair and scalp as you do until you feel your hair is clean. Now you are ready to rinse the hair with a lot of water to make sure all of the shampoo is rinsed out. I don't need to use a conditioner but I use aloe vera gel as a conditioner. Works wonders! So far I have used it for a month and have not seen any ill effects. My scalp feels clean and refreshed. BTW this is not a daily shampoo. If you want to use it daily then dilute it more. Use a bit of your favorite oil on your scalp and hair to keep it from drying out. The shampoo keeps my hair clean enough so I use it twice a week. It has done wonders to my scalp itch! The product is as described, and cleans the hair pretty well for all natural ingredients. It didn't rinse all of the coconut oil I had applied to treat my hair prior to using, but it works remarkably well for a routine hair wash. However, it is incredibly drying on my type of hair (wavy, medium coarseness). I would be careful to use this with a good conditioner to soak in for a long time before rinsing.

This stuff will leave your hair squeaky clean, literally. I have 4a hair and while it didn’t leave it soft and manageable, my hair feels really clean, similar to the way a clarifying shampoo feels. This shampoo also lathers up really well. The powder will settle at the bottom of the bowl so make sure you put all the sediments in your hair because this creates the lather. The first time I poured the liquid mixture on my hair and I simply had brown water dripping everywhere, with no lather. On my second wash, I made sure to use the product that settled at the bottom and there was so much lather. A little definitely goes a long way. This shampoo doesn’t have any slip and it doesn’t smell the greatest (I can always use an essential oil), but its free of all the harmful chemicals and products that gives other shampoos that feeling.

This is a very good shampoo. I have just used it twice and noticed great results. I have dry scalp and hair, so I added extra Shikakai powder while mixing this shampoo just for extra softness. I usually massage my scalp with coconut and castor oil and leave it overnight and wash off in am. This shampoo took out all the oil, though I rinsed my hair with this shampoo twice (used half the liquid mixture, rinsed it off, then used other half and rinsed it off) to remove any leftover oil. I followed it with rice water rinse as a conditioner. My hair is now softer, shinier, and my scalp feels clean. I would definitely recommend this product.

In just one shampoo the amount of hair loss when washing my hair was reduced by 85% to 90%! The amount of hair I would lose each time I shampooed made my dread when it was time to was my hair. Before using this product I would also lose another significant amount of hair when detangling after washing/conditioning. My hair is color treated and it did feel VERY dry after using but I didn’t use any conditioner. I wanted to see how my hair would do without conditioner and just using this product. Uh no. I definitely need a very hydrating conditioner and also some leave-in conditioner before styling. I’m shocked at the results. I’ve been on a journey for years now trying to stop my hair thinning. This seems to be a winner.... and the value is awesome! I can tell this package will lady for many months!

I switched to henna earlier this year and couldn’t be happier. My hair is strong, shiny and healthy. And I REALLY wanted to love this natural shampoo but alas, it leaves my hair unpleasant to touch and not very “alive”. I’m persistent and wasnt going to give up right away - i tried different methods, and rinsed VERY well. I might try it as a mask but for shampooing needs im back to my chemicals (( two stars because i guess it does clean somewhat

Hated this. I had a big reaction to the product and I followed the instructions for product:water ratio... and it never created a shampoo or paste. So...I ended up with a gross, stinky (very pungent) glob of skin-staining goop that I ended up having an allergic reaction to. Big no for me.

This is the Best shampoo I’ve ever used! It is 100% natural and my hair fall has reduced to a great extent from the very first wash. It also makes my scalp squeaky clean and my hair so soft. The smell is all natural and earthy. I love it and have been a consistent use of this product. Ditched all my shampoo and conditioner bottles. Hope the brand maintains the same quality throughout.

I normally don’t write reviews, but this shampoo is really great, i had issue with hair fall and it was already improved in 1st use, i had applied oil before washing and it was also removed and my hair left soft and shine however it does make mess during washing.
