I have a pair of US Men's size 7.5D Allen Edmonds Park Avenue Dress Boots. These size "Small" trees fit perfectly, and might fit a size 8 Allen Edmonds shoe as well. The spring is pretty well compressed in my 7.5, so fitting anything smaller than a 7.5 Allen Edmonds may be difficult. Allen Edmonds sizes their shoes more accurately than others, I wear a size 9 sneaker in most brands, but 7.5 in AE. Other dress shoes might be sized more like sneakers, YMMV. I would describe the construction of these as "as expected." The cedar is nicely shaped and the surface is smooth. The spring seems adequate for the task and they smell great.
