These are good cedar shoe trees but I have better for a very similar price. The split foot is a little deceiving. The split foot only opens as you are pushing the rear section of the shoe tree toward the front half. As a result, on shorter shoes the foot may spread out and fill in the vamp of the shoe. But if the shoe is longer, the foot doesn't spread as much, if at all, so it may not completely fill in the toe area of the shoe. The springs in the shaft are not very strong and so it doesn't put firm pressure on the shoes from toe to heel. Are these worth the money? Sure. Could you spend a little more and get a lot more? Yes. The shoe trees work as they are supposed to work, for the most part. They are easy to insert and to remove. They are not a bad product. I rate them 4 stars though 3.5 would be my preferred rating. Again, for the money, they are acceptable. In the future, I'll just spend a little more.
