I use this as a deterrent for mosquitos and wasps in an 130 year old victorian house that has the original windows and has way too many entry points for bugs lol I put small glass jars (Gerber baby food jars work well) in my window sills, place a cotton ball inside and spritz a little of this. I often have one jar with lavender and one with peppermint in each window. Near the doors, I will often use a fake potted plant or flowers and add the cotton ball to the pot or just spray the flower/leaves if they can handle it. the Lavender also feels very relaxing. Sometimes I only use lavender, without the peppermint, in the bedrooms. The lavender also smells stronger than my peppermint spray (though I think the peppermint is more diluted). Sometimes, I also spray on outdoor rugs, pillows, and door frames that aren't directly exposed to the elements, but I don't know if it really does anything other than smell nice. Generally, we don't really like fragrances in our home and a few of the fam are hypersensitive to scents, but this can be sparsely applied so the scent is very subtle and still seems to help reduce the wasps. We used to have many wasps in the house in the summer, but now we seem to get less in the house each season. Hopefully none this year!

This is FINALLY a spray that both works (spray bottle works well consistently) and smells like lavender flowers. Many similar products have a scent that seems very fake or musky. I spray this on my pillow and I get a warm spring meadow feeling.

I like the scent of the lavendar. Strong enough to know it's lavendar but not overpowering. The spray flow is easy and the spray straw actually reaches to the bottom of the bottle so that most of the oil can be used. My purpose is to fend off mosquitoes with my favorite scent. My only suggestion is that the packing needs to be sealed better. The seal covers the plastic spray cap but not the complete bottle cap. So in transit, the bottle came out of the box, the cap loosened and 1/3 of oil was wasted in the package. Luckily my other item was sealed so nothing was ruined. I intend to order another bottle now so hopefully it won't happen again.
