I have horrible blackheads and sebaceous filaments, though, so I thought, for the price, might as well try it. I have been super impressed and shocked at just how well this product works. I use it primarily on my nose and it never fails to clean out almost all of my pores. It's not perfect, it doesn't get everything, but for the price, I have been super satisfied. The battery lasts a long time as well. I've used it 5 times for anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes and I have yet to charge it. I've read where some people have said it has bruised them, but I almost immediately went up to the 2nd and 3rd level suction and I have not had any bruising from it yet. The package says to go from left to right with it, but I've found that starting from farther up the nose and coming down with it works best. I've also found that holding the skin taunt while moving the extractor works better too. You definitely need to steam your face or use a wash cloth soaked in hot water on your face before trying to use this; it helps open the pores. I had blackheads in several large pores that I actually damaged the skin by having to squeeze them out because the usual blackhead remover tools didn't work. While I was waiting for the delivery of the product I thought, "My skin is already damaged. I think I'll try using DAWN, the product that they use to clean up animals after an oil spill." Well, that DAWN worked, and I have yet to try my brand new extractor! This was so much more effective! After 1 week (2 uses) my skin already looked so much clearer. I will say this is best used if you open your pores first! I got a facial steamer but you can do a spa steam, stand face up in a hot shower or use hot water towel on your face. I just went with the easy no drowning potential option and one time buy rather than paying for spa steams. Whatever works for you.The first time I used the steamer, the second I used after shower 3 days later. The gunk that came out of my face, even after exfoliating, was nasty! The third and fourth time I used I didn't open my pores first and it did not get as much stuff but it did get some. I think its likely due to the fact that my skin is clearing up.Some people have complained about it leaving an almost bruise on your face. I would think it would be obvious why. When you suck on someone's neck you leave a hickey so why wouldn't something sucking on your face leave one too? The answer is if you use it on high it will. When I used the steamer the proof was gone less than 12 hours later. So steam and use before bed, in the morning you will be fine, or use it on a lower setting. If your face is as bad as mine was you are going to want to use it on high though. So like I said use, sleep, morning you are clear. If you do not steam and open the pores things DO NOT come out as easy and so, of course, it leaves more marks. It's easily worked around or avoidable.I love that they send you multiple filters, the charging plug and multiple sized heads because some curves of your nose or near the lip would be impossible if not for the smaller heads!
