Let's just get the sticker shock out of the way first: yes, this cushion is a bit on the pricey side compared to the sea of generic foam options you see online. But I can tell you right now, after having tried no less than six different orthopedic cushions over the past month, this cushion is so much more comfortable than all of them that it's absolutely well worth the price. It genuinely delivers where cheaper options fail. The core technology here is the gel and foam hybrid, and it really holds its shape and cushioning properties beautifully—you can immediately feel the difference in support. What makes this cushion truly perfect for virtually any kind of sitting pain is the design of the recess. That center cut-out that goes all the way from front to back is brilliant; it eliminates soft tissue pressure and completely unloads the coccyx. This makes it ideal for anyone needing relief from sciatic pressure, tailbone pain, prostate discomfort, or postnatal issues. It's truly a versatile solution, and it’s super easy to carry with the integrated handle, making the transition from office chair to car seat painless. Now for the critical assessment: the only thing that would make this cushion better for my personal preference is if it were a little softer. It is pretty firm. I understand why they engineered it that way—firmer means better postural support and it will definitely maintain its shape longer—but it does lack that initial soft give that some people might be looking for. Still, the support it offers for long-term sitting is unparalleled. For me, the effective pressure relief and superior construction completely overcome the minor issue of firmness, making this the last cushion I’ll need to buy.

This is an excellent product. I have 3 of these that I've bought over the years. These prevent saddle numbness from long-term sitting, are well balanced, and comfortable. I use one on a hard piano bench and can sit/play for many hours without any discomfort. I use another on a Herman Miller desk chair, and it does the same thing. I tried it on a dining chair, and it was just a bit long but still worked. (There's a smaller model.) I found many other seat cushions out there were designed for women and didn't relieve pressure where, as a man, I needed pressure relieved to avoid numbness. It was recommended to me by a concert pianist. This is not very portable, primarily due to weight. The dense gel support is heavy. I wouldn't move it more than room-to-room. (I think Gelpro has a smaller model with different, lighter filling.) It does fold, but the handle is awkward to use for any distance.

I have ordered 2 of these lovely seats on the back of 2 colleagues having them and being allowed to use one for the day. I must say that they are very comfortable and the gel top layer distributes the weight across the memory foam layer quite comfortably. The angle from back to front also promotes a good seating position. It is an amazing seat and have been using daily for over 2 weeks ( I work in IT, thus am quite sedentary on a daily basis for around 8 hours) and find it the best office buy I have made. I had a manufacturing issue with my second one, but this was swiftly rectified with amazing customer service from both Cathleen and Kara. I'm also 8000 miles away in Wales and am a very satisfied customer both with product and the family run company. In conclusion, brilliant product from an amazing company. I suffer with piriformis syndrome. I am at a desk all day. Even though I can switch from sitting to standing throughout the day, I am very thankful for the extra comfort provided by the GSeat. This is the 2nd one for me. I've had the 1st one for about 6 years. I bought a 2nd one for my home desk and to use while traveling. Once the 2nd was received, I can tell the 1st is not as thick, due to normal wear, but it still works well enough. I tried a couple other type "memory" cushions, but GSeat has been the best one. I do think it is a bit pricey. I especially like the carry handle.

Fast shipping Nice size - folds in half so it fits in my backpack nicely. It is kind of hard but I hope the more I use it the better it will get.
