I bought the Thorne Magnesium Glycinate Capsules (90 servings) for $25 because I wanted a magnesium supplement that could support relaxation and better sleep as part of my nightly routine. I’ve been taking it for about a month and noticed I feel more relaxed in the evenings and wind down easier before bed. I also tend to get tension and poor sleep when I’m run down, so having magnesium in my routine has been helpful for overall balance. The capsules are easy to swallow and very gentle on the stomach, which I appreciate because some magnesium supplements can cause digestive discomfort. Magnesium glycinate is also known for being one of the more absorbable and well-tolerated forms of magnesium. I actually ran out for about a week while waiting for my reorder, and that’s when I realized how much I liked having it in my routine. Once I started taking it again, it quickly became part of my evening habit. The only downside is the price is higher than some other magnesium brands, but Thorne has a strong reputation for quality and third-party testing, which is why I chose it. Overall, this feels like a high-quality magnesium supplement and a good option if you’re looking for a gentle, easy-to-tolerate form of magnesium.

In full disclosure, I’ve never used Thorne products before. I kind of assumed it was all marketing and no substance. But, I was taking Vitamin D and it caused me such awful muscle aches and hip pain that I had to stop taking it. I did discuss this issue with my PCP, and she told me I should add magnesium glycinate - specifically this brand. So, I did. The capsules are large but I can swallow them just fine which is a big deal because I often struggle to swallow pills. The bottle does have a slight vitamin smell but it is not overpowering and the capsules don’t smell when you take them out of the bottle. After a week, I added back the vitamin d (w/k2) and had no issues in doing so. Plus, these helped me relax enough to fall asleep, didn’t upset my tummy, don’t contain artificial coloring or dyes, and I love that there is a 3 month supply in the bottle. Given the quantity of the capsules in the bottle I found this to be a very good value. I have no doubt I’ll continue to use this product and work on swapping over my other products to Thorne brand as I run out.

I take two pills with breakfast every morning. I feel a whole lot better—less anxious —like my day is more manageable. But mainly, after consistently taking these—my muscles were not as sore after intense workouts. This magnesium is of really good quality. I have enjoyed this product a lot. My sleep has also improved tremendously. I no longer suffer from broken sleep. And feel well rested in the morning.
