I purchased lacewing g eggs from a nursery that came with ladybugs. I released, but not sure if it did anything as I was still having an aphid issue so I decided to purchase lacewing cards (5000 eggs). I'm not sure where I purchased from. I released and again I am not sure if it helped. I then decided to give another try I purchased lacewing egg cards (2500) from Natures Good Guys and low and behold it worked. I finally see the little alligator looking creatures crawling on the cards. It's so exciting to finally have assistance in my garden. It is healthy and thriving. I don't see the little creatures, however I see tge miracle of their work!!

I have spider mites and mealey bugs on my houseplants, so decided to try lacewings instead of pesticides. It didn't work. I did everything as directed, but not a lacewing in sight. Only around 1/8 of the eggs hatched. I sprayed a little water on each plant everyday for the lacewing larvae to drink. I saw them around everyday for about 2 weeks, then they disappeared. I thought maybe they were cocooning, but saw no evidence of this. I saw a larvae about a week or so later, but that was the last time. I know it's not because they didn't have anything to eat because I see spider mites having parties on my plants. I spent $50 on this and nothing to show for it except more spider mite infestations. Very unsatisfied. I thought Nature's Good Guys was supposed to be the best.

Fast shipping and product came with already hatched larvae. I watched a YouTube video on how to use this product. Simple enough, how I know this works is I took a jewelers loop and looked at the cards. There were lobster looking creepers totally emerging from the eggs! Ewww! I’m using these in a controlled environment indoors with humidity around 60% and temperature at 70f. I have verified that I have thrips, spider mites and aphids. I will update this review in a few weeks. So far so good :) 3 week update: It totally works! It’s been 3 weeks and we have adult green lacewings. Last photo is proof of it and time stamped at 3 weeks and 3 days since release. The week prior to release I held off on any other treatments which made me so nervous. Haven’t used any pesticide sprays since then. All my plants with thrips and spider mites responded great. One thing to note: Definitely do get the right amount suggested for the level of pest management you need. Most of my plants had been treated prior multiple times and due to this fact weren’t considered heavily infested. My purple passion however was the only one with aphids and heavily infested. The lower leaves had improvement after only a week, but the upper leaves are still heavily infested with the aphids. I ended up moving this plant outside. Everything else (I have over 100 plants) is inside still. I think if I wanted to successfully treat that plant with the green lacewings I should have used more than one card on it. With a mild to moderate outbreak I got away with grouping my plants with leaves all touching and placing 2-3 cards within 6-10 plants per area. This worked very well 6 month update: yep still works! Love these guys. They aren’t in your face and you never see them. Out of no where you’ll find one random lacewing hanging out on the wall or something. After a few it disappears again. I really thought I’d have to just throw out my entire collection or something because I do not have it in me to be spraying my plants all the time. I haven’t done much and my plants are all thriving :)

Didn’t Notice Much of a Difference Unfortunately, I didn’t see much of a change after adding this product to our garden. I had high hopes based on the description and reviews, but it didn’t seem to make a noticeable impact on plant growth or overall health. It may work better in different conditions, but for our space, the results just weren’t there.

These absolutely arrived live. I was skeptical at first, but I left them in the packaging, and sure enough after twelve hours at room temp there were a couple tiny wriggly guys. I am using these indoors for pest control and to do my best to make sure I’ve thoroughly eliminated some previously treated pests, so I hung them up on my plants after I saw the very first hatchlings. Over the next couple days, more emerged. However, you might not see them at all or notice them emerging if you don’t check often and catch them at the right time. They seem to sometimes wriggle in their eggs off of the card and onto the plant or medium before coming out. For those claiming they never saw adult lacewings… yeah, you probably won’t. You have to have a huge pest population or supplementary food in order for many of these to grow to maturity, and even then lacewings don’t tend to be in your face insects. The role of this product is a few weeks of intensive indoor control, or possibly seeding an outdoor population if you actually have a large pest presence. They aren’t in your face at all, which is what makes them great.
