I know, it's only chocolate flavored syrup, but if you're like me...IKYK!!! I'll say this right off the bat; I am a private/pastry chef who cringes at thought of not using "real" products - full fat, full sugar = full flavor... *Especially when it comes to chocolate ;) Well, at least that's regarding what I feed other people, haha. For me, I am always looking to reduce my fat, sugar, and carb intake. I am also super super sensitive to "artificial" products, and in terms of this particular item, sugar substitutes. I can pick up even the slightest bit of bitterness, chemical, metallic, what have you, taste/aftertaste. I can't tell how how much money I've spent on sugar substitutes in a desperate search to compensate for the loss of my brown sugar in my coffee ๐ค (monkfruit/alluose blend clear winner btw). Even Stevia - yuk. ...and especially Splenda, which is why I was floored at how good this tastes (sucralose). But as I was looking to get a minimum for free delivery, I came across this at a very cheap price and went for it. *I usually go with Choc Zero (monk fruit)- the "Cupcake flavor" is heaven btw. Anyhoos, as previously stated, game changer. Even straight out of the bottle it's pretty dang good. A lovely (and satisfying) chocolate flavor. Admittedly, a very very slight bitter/metallic taste, albeit, tbh, was not dissimilar to that said bitter/metallic taste you get from cocoa powder. So, all good. *I happened to be drinking a cup of coffee at the time it was delivered, so I threw a bit in it, and yyyyummmmie! It's rather sweet, but I think that's a good thing as the level of sweetness is equal to the level of "chocolate" flavor- meaning you don't need a lot. - at least IMO. It's also water thin (which is expected as there is no ingredient that would add viscosity, eg: corn syrup or sugar), so given the concentrated sweetness/flavor, I recommend putting it in a pourtop bottle like I did. *If you don't have one, try a spent honey or ketchup squeeze bottle, for example (I always save mine, lol). Or... just poke a small hole in the safety seal -sorry if the above seems obvious, you'd be surprised how many times I've heard - "I've never thought of that", haha. Anyhoos, after all that long rambling- I highly recommend this product. Can't wait to try it mixed with my (low fat, no sugar) peanut butter powder and spreading on my favorite "Lewis" zero net carbs avocado & seeds keto bread (shout out); as well as trying the sugar free cherry... Chocolate-cherry morning coffee...or martini, yum!๐, take your pick and indulge guilt free!!!

It's not a really strong chocolate flavor but then I don't use a lot because I like to make it last. I use the chocolate flavor in a cup of peppermint tea & it's a good combo. I have quite a few flavors of these syrups & they're getting me to drink more water. I really don't like plain water so I add a bit of a fruity flavored syrup to a big insulated tumbler. My water stays nice & cold & it has a good flavor. I love that they can be used in hot or cold drinks. I also use other flavors in coffee & I don't have to worry about them going bad like flavored, refrigerated creamer.

Good taste, loved it

Flavor is okay, mixes with almond milk very well and just a small amount will add flavor.

The sugar free chocolate version is syrup in the technical sense, sweetener suspended in liquid. It is so watery that I hesitate to call it a syrup. You will need 6-8 pumps for a 20oz mug of coffee before you can taste the smallest hint of chocolate. At that point the cup will be saccharine due to how sweet and how little chocolate flavor you get in this liquid. It tastes alright, but not really chocolatey.
