Do you have to use a caulking gun to apply this??

Yes. All brands of caulk that come in these 10 oz round tubes need to be applied with a caulking gun, so every handyperson should get one. The cheap ones are pretty much as good as the expensive ones. What a lot of people giving bad reviews don't seem to realize, is that all brands of caulk in these tubes come with a seal membrane inside the nozzel. The caulking guns come with a rod, about the size of a nail, attached. Just fold out that rod and stick it down the nozzel a few times to break that membrane, or you can use a screwdriver or other device of your choosing.

Can I use this product to fix loose outdoor ceramic tiles due to worn grout?

We used this to try to fix the lint trap on my dryer. The metal screen was rusting and tearing along the edge. No way to replace the screen or purchase a new lint trap. One bad of silicon asking the torn edge and seems to work perfectly fine.
