Amazing Knife
This is a very versatile knife. It is great for camp chores such as cutting up meat and vegetables, and the various non-digestible activities like cutting rope and hanging packs. Great for digging cattail and wapatoplants. The bend in the blade makes it especially efficient for pulling up the tubers of these plants. And, of course, this knife is very great at skinning deer and other animals. Again, the shape of the blade is very helpful at getting back straps and butchering the rest of the meat. I won't go into the ability for this knife, and in reality-all Ontario knives-for keeping their edge and making them sharp. The price is right and these knives are built on the patterns of the knives that were used by pioneers, mountain men, and cattle men during the settling of the western US. The only thing that would make these a little better for use would be Amazon providing a sheath for this line. I had an old Marbles sheath that I owned and right now-until I get one made-it is perfectly acceptable. But I would like a sheath made to the knife, and not just making do. Get one of these. It will last for years and is very functionable.

1095 steel knife
Like any Old Hickory knife, this knife holds a edge and can easily be sharpened to a razors edge using a steel. I purchased to replace a similar one I had 20+ years but lost as it was one of my favorite skinning knives. This is as good as the original. These knives will rust if not taken care of, but it worth the trade-off for ease in keeping sharp.

Not the quality of the Dexter.
I have both the Dexter version and this Ontario. I like the blade style; and though this is not as refined as the Dexter it is still a great knife.

Nice knife
Good American made product. Highly recommended. Thank you.

The steel's the deal, the wood is no good, the price is nice.
Robust blade came hair shaving sharp! Handle came poorly fit, poorly finished and loose. As if someone made a nice blade and the handle was an afterthought. Price was right though & I plan to modify it anyway.

Quality Knife
Was a gift. Noticed it was a favorite among other knives. (Used the most)

Flat in edge
Flat spot in blade, but not a big deal.
