Quieter 4C Mini PC 12nd Gen N100 Fanless PC 16GB Memory, 512GB Memory, Windows 11 Pro, WLAN 2.4/5G, Full USB-C Full 4K Triple View

The MeLE mini PC 12th Gen N100 packs a lot of power in a really small package. It has options to do 816 or 32 GB of memory and 128 or 512 GB of storage space. I tested the 16 GB memory version with 512 GB of storage. First off, this thing is packed full of options and works like a full scale PC should. It has multiple USB ports dual HDMI ports ethernet headphone. Jack built-in Wi-Fi and many other great features. The PC itself is fan less which means it makes no sound at all. It’s very easy to set up, simply unpack plug in your peripherals and you’re ready to go. Do note that the power USB-C and the USB-C port look identical and make sure you plug the power into the right port. Overall, I was able to set this up and have Windows 11 running within less than five minutes including the update. It runs windows and browsers flawlessly with no issues. This is a great option for those who need a really small affordable PC unit. You can plug it in on the back of a television screen monitor, or just keep it in your bag ready to go if you have other peripherals where you’re headed. I can see a lot of businesses using things like this at trade shows due to its small form factor. After running for two hours, yes the case does get a little warm, but it’s nothing too crazy. I would assume if you’re doing something heavily graphics, intensive, etc. will heat up a little more, but it has great heat dissipation capabilities with the metal casing.

This mini-sized computer turned out to be way more than I expected – much faster and more powerful than I imagined for such a small device. Once you get all of the connections made to the computer module, i.e., power supply, mouse, keyboard, and display, you are ready to go. It even has sound capability and Bluetooth. Includes Windows 11 Pro operating system. Setup was a breeze, no different than if you just bought a new laptop. If space is an issue, or you don’t need a full blown desktop personal computer, this is a slick looking solution with decent computing power in a compact area. With my test drive to browse the internet, I didn't notice any speed lag and I didn't notice the case getting hot, although I would recommend airspace around the case so it can dissipate any heat. I'm quite happy with the performance.

I've got N100 systems I've paid less for but they are not fanless nor this compact. It quickly booted up into Windows which had been pre-installed but still allowed for initial user setup which oddly some mini pcs already have completed. There's no COA or other information about the Windows license so it must be some OEM key. I watched all DNS requests out of the machine for the day and see nothing odd. Installing major Windows updates was really slow. The CPU was at 100% for a long, long time and the surface of the unit reached 72C in a temp controlled 20C room. At idle it sits between 40C-50C. This is not a great choice if you need to run it at 100% for long periods as thermal throttling will really slow things down. I applied better thermal paste but the heat sink, which is basically the entire case, becomes saturated quickly. I'm using this to run a laser engraver which only requires high CPU when calculating jobs and is mostly near idle when jobs are actually engraving. While running the laser it only consumes about 4W which is wonderful. Definitely not a power house of an N100 machine but fits the bill if you want something ultra compact and fanless.

This is such a tiny PC. It operates very quietly and basically unnoticeable. It comes with a mounting bracket and charger. It is incredibly easy to set up; Windows 11 loads up right away. You do need an internet connection for initial setup. It connects with HDMI and the display output looks very good. It has a usb c and 3 usb (2 usb 3 and 1 regular sub). It moves pretty quickly and for how small it is, the memory is impressive. It does run hot so I would make sure it is in an open area or mounted with the top cover pointing outward.
