Absolutly love this. I have tested 5 vehicles now. Found out an altenator on one car was about to die. Had it tested at a shop to confirm and sure enough.Topdon was correct. Another vehicle the battery only had a 43% charge but still had 100% life left. Charged the battery up now shows 98%. I have found this tester to be accurate and reliable. Very happy with this and have already helped a few people on day 1.I tried the Ancel BA101 first and it was so far off and random, I had to return it. This is what I was trying to get and its perfect.

High quality; beefy clamps unlike others, very easy to use. Cable is long enough to be useful, everything feels high quality. Testing is quick and screen is easy to read. Could not be more pleased.

Other than a regular multimeter i have never had a battery tester. After reading the manual i gave this thing a try and I am very impressed! Easy to use and results in seconds. You need a lot of information on the battery you are going to test though. Like how many cold cranking amps and what type is it ( flooded, AGM, etc) others have posted it will not test lithium ion batteries so be aware.,but to test vehicles 12 volt batteries, Its Topdon from now on!P.s. bought this to test a auxiliary 12 volts battery from an EV car because its always discharged in the morning.

I was really wishing it would last longer
At the beginning it was great. It only lasted 2 months of being used twice a week before the negative clamp broke off the wire cable. When it worked, it worked. Now its useless and says every battery is bad. I think ill invest in an old school carbon pile tester. The cables are not good quality but the unit itself was great.Update:The seller reached out and offered to replace the unit. I promptly received a new one. It works great i just hope the cables last longer as its the exact same unit. Will update in 6 months. I made it 4 stars for great customer service and it really does work, just cables aren't the best quality.
