Four Stars
great book for kids.

The book focuses more on rhymes than on content. I have a lot other books of the Cat in the learning series. But this one isn't at par with the rest of the books.

I love this book. As a teacher, I have used it often for lessons in the past and I am so glad to now have my own copy. Children learn so much vocabulary from it each time.

Children are naturally curious about flowers...their variety, how they grow from a planted seed, fragrances, why butterflies and bees visit them. A book about flowers should be available to every child. This book focuses on the 'flowering cycle'. With its bright colors, snappy explanations from our beloved Cat in the Hat, this is a well drawn informative collection of illustrations for young people. The vocabulary is meant for an older child. Its pictures serve as a springboard for the younger ones. I like to 'read' this book to my young grandsons, pointing out pertinent aspects of flowers allowing them time to think and to ask their own questions. Another good addition to your Learning Library!

Cat in the hat learning library books are quickly becoming my 3 year olds favorite. All of these books are great for a child who is curios and wants to learn about these. This was especially great after we planted our garden by seed, she was very interested in the book because she could relate. Not a bad read and a tad less hard to understand than some others we have read. Great info on the parts of the seeds and how they germinate etc. Would be great in a classroom.
