A heartfelt tribute to bookstores
I loved reading both books in this series and loved both of them. This sequel was lighthearted, funny at times, sad at time, and filled with gratitude.

A Sequel Better Than the First Book
As enticing as the idea behind it was, the first book often seemed vague and lost its footing after Takako confronts her ex. It seemed to throw in Momoko after that just to create some interest, keeping her mysterious for the most part. The sequel makes her purpose clear and it also has a much surer voice. It’s still a bit chary when it comes to romance, can’t really feel the love between Takako and her new boyfriend most of the time. Their relationship goes so smoothly as to be bland. And we don’t quite know where the other romance in the book goes. Hoping for a sequel that brings out more in these relationships. But this was a deep, sayisfying read.

A gift for yourself
It's slow. It's quiet. It's charming and will break your heart a little. This is a special book to nurture yourself, with all the craziness in the world.Highly highly recommended!

both are good, surprisingly.
I can’t forget this book, maybe forever. This kind of story, I’m really fond of. I’m expecting the next book of this author.

not as good as Book 1
I had high hopes for this book as I enjoyed Book 1 immensely. This was too sad and gloomy for my taste.

Poignant
Much more reflective and reflection invoking than the first book but definitely as engaging and evocative of a place, its time and the unmistakable real-feel of the characters who people its pages. The only thing that made me pause is that there were clearly some phrases in the writing that did not lend themselves to an easy translation. Possibly these are related to the cultural landscape of the original language, the place it was born and that it describes. That may not be entirely bad because it gives the reader more reason to contemplate, explore and hopefully more fully understand the content.

Nice and chill like the first one
Initially attracted to the first book by the book cover art and the short synopsis, I'm glad I was able to meet Takako, Satoru and Momoko. Getting to know them more and spend more timw with them in this sequel was so nice. I can't wait for the author's next book. I think it will be set in a café.
