I got this hat specifically for the wide brim and back flap to protect against scorching Utah sun while we hiked through the National Parks. I love the pretty light blue color and the hat was perfect. The extra protection for my neck was just what I needed as we explored in the heat of early summer. It's easily packable and washes well too without losing it's shape. At home, it's my go-to gardening hat now. The wide brim keeps more sun off of my face than my older gardening hat. It's nice to have the neck strap to tighten in case of high winds, but I usually don't use that. It *did* get used a few times while hiking though and kept it from flying into a canyon.

Love this hat! Enough coverage from the sun. Adjustable strap to keep hat on. Have worn in windy conditions and it stayed on. Brought on a trip and placed it ontop of my clothes, easy to pack, just lay it flat.

Nice hat with a wide brim to cover face and neck from sun. The neck flap is an added bonus to protect neck from the sun. The hat comes folded in a box, but once you unfold and put it on it gets some shape. I just ordered mine to wear around my backyard so go the price and quality I think it’s a good deal.
