This is a great oven. Liking it so much buying another one now. On sale, $70 bucks off. Perfect for a single person. Works great! Made some meat loaf. Turned out great. 30 minutes and done! (actually 20 minutes, last ten minutes were getting the ketchup hot that I put on the top of each one. The metal is a little thin and does get hot to the touch and I’m not a fan of the magnets on the door that pull the rack out on the middle level. Other than that it’s perfect in my opinion. I have not used the air fryer yet.

Hi! I love this Breville toaster oven, air fryer. Just bought my 2nd one. I bought the first about 8 years ago? It had been slightly damaged in a kitchen fire, but the door magnets finally gave out. Other wise it would still be going. Family of 4 - can’t remember the last time I used our big oven. Granted, I don’t cook whole chickens, turkeys, cakes….where one would really need larger room. This toasts up to 6 slices, a personal pizza, melting cheese on a sandwich, cooks roasted potatoes ( I use the air fryer) & frozen fries as well. But only 1 countertop item. They also provides the pans you need. Way easier to keep clean than a large oven. I got mine in black… mostly black & white kitchen. I’ve never really used the instruction book… but might this time to try out new recipes.. easy for kids to use too… once they are old enough.

Purchased the BREVILLE “BLACK TRUFFLE” air fryer toaster oven for the BREVILLE brand name reliability and snazzy design for our black/white kitchen. (Our NESPRESSO coffee maker is also BREVILLE, not DELONGHI.) Pros: Snazzy looking in the Black Truffle color, many functionality selections & don’t discount BREVILLE brand reliability- a superior winner. Cons: Glass oven door slams shut FAST if you accidentally let go of your hand grip when closing the door- BIG FAST BANG! WOW! KEPT MY BELOW COMPLAINT IN MIND TOO- SO NOT SURPRISED BY IT- The LED illuminated function light stays brightly lit (LED light DOES NOT TURN OFF AND GO BLACK) for exactly10 minutes after a completed cooking cycle, after oven buzzer rings- this oven model reverts to what the BREVILLE owner manual terms as a “10 minute stand by mode.” After 10 minutes the LED light finally goes dim and fully off. Your only other option to turn off this LED panel light is pull the plug out of wall outlet and turn off this LED inset panel light- which frankly, seems nuts! (I am not referring to the oven interior light which auto lights during a 30 second cooking cycle countdown.) Also spoke to BREVILLE customer service about this concern of mine- reconfirming no other way to manually “turn off” LED panel light immediately after a completed cooking cycle except yes, to pull the plug out of the wall socket, otherwise the oven automatically goes into “stand by” mode. This is actually referred to also in the owner manual under “trouble shooting.” I must assume this LED no light off feature is present in every BREVILLE air fryer toaster oven, so buyer beware, it’s disconcerting- because you think the oven IS STILL ON! I am really surprised others haven’t mentioned this nonsensical, disconcerting LED light no off poor design feature??? Still, we are enjoying the oven & its’ many cooking functions so recommend purchasing. Our purchase was made during BREVILLE/ AMAZON 20% off deal so well worth the investment.

This is my third Breville oven. The last one was the air fryer pro which I used daily for 5 years. The door spring went and then the oven started turning off after 15 minutes no matter how I set it. So, considering the price tag of Brevilles I started researching other brands. In the end, I decided on the smart oven air fryer. The pro is terrific but it is massive and heavy. This model Is a little smaller, not as heavy and it looks very nice on the counter without taking up too much space. Since I use it mostly for bake, toast and broil, sometimes air fry, it does just about everything I need. I purchased the black and I think it’s a nice change from stainless everything. I am comparing this to the Air Fryer Pro. So the only cons for me on this model are: -Only one rack so only one batch at a time. -No dehydrate function Just like the other Breville ovens, this is well built, the outside does not get as hot as some of the other popular brands, so it seems well insulated. Also, I noticed in reviews of some other brands that the first few uses the oven gives off a bad odor. The Breville does NOT. I wonder what’s in those others that they need to burn off?? As others said, if you do a lot of air frying you might want a dedicated air fryer. This oven does a good job but my sweet potato fries could have been a bit crispier. The oven is easy to clean, easy to move if you must, and you don’t need a PHD to figure out how to use it. I do miss the little bit of extra cooking space and extra racks and the ability to put in more than one item at a time. I never used the dehydrate function on my other oven. Overall, this is a fantastic oven for making meals for 1-4/5 people. And it looks good!
