The poles that came with the trap are not adjustable so limits the possibilities for set ups. Use them with the other poles or by themselves depending on the preferred set up. They tighten easily with a little twist and release with opposite twist. Have not loosened up and keep tight in winds. The rubber caps allow to use them directly to the trap or remove caps to place through the eyelets of the trap. Bag is sufficient for storage and while packing. Lighter than the poles that came with the trap and the extended length is enough for high clearance underneath the tarp. Picture shows one on the ground and the other on the table, third pole was original with the tarp. The pole in the middle held tightly in place with the rubber caps without ropes. Really like my decision to purchase these, makes the trap more versatile. Have used them for running a clothes line to hang sleeping bags on to air out and held the weight of 2 bags.
