If I wanted to make 16oz of sour cream, how much water & powder should I mix? How long does it take to thicken?

If you mix one and 1/4 cup of powder with 1 cup of liquid, you should have roughly 16 ounces of sour cream. The mixture should thicken as it is mixed, however, it will thicken overnight in the refrigerator as well. Thank you!

This is one of those things that I really want to work, but it won't. I mixed in proportions on label and put in fridge, but nothing happened. Help??

Sorry you are experiencing problems. I purchased this product to use in homemade mixes and it works great. Have never tried to just make sour cream.

what is the shelf life of this product?

So far I have had my product open for 10+ months with no loss of taste/consistency. I keep it stored in a cool, dark cabinet.
