No there is no real mouth. The tongue comes out from a seam that separates the upper head color from the lower jaw color.

Is it very flexible or is it overstuffed?

It is pretty flexible and I don't feel it's overstuffed at all. I took it up to my sons home to use as part of my Halloween costume and my grandson fell in love with it so it stayed there permanently :-). The new puppy loves it too so I'm not sure how long of a life it's going to have!

How long is it? Head to tail?

They come as advertised 54 inch. I've purchase 5 different ones so far; and the grand kids girls and boys love 'em.
