I picked up this YUNJAC Base Prep Korean Primer, and it has completely changed how my foundation wears throughout the day. Here is how it performs and compares to the rest of the market: The Texture: Unlike thick, pore-clogging primers, this has a beautiful, lightweight serum texture. It absorbs quickly but leaves behind just the right amount of tackiness to grab onto your foundation and lock it in place. Silicone-Free: This is a huge selling point. Because it is completely silicone-free, it plays incredibly well with my daily skincare and sunscreen. I have experienced absolutely zero pilling, rolling, or flaking when layering my products. Cost & Competitors: At its usual price point of around $40 for 1.35 fl oz, this is firmly in the premium, luxury K-beauty category. Its most famous direct competitor is the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer (which runs about $38). While you can find budget gripping primers like the e.l.f. Power Grip for around $10, those cheaper alternatives often feel very heavy, sticky, and glue-like on the face. The YUNJAC formula stands out because it provides that exact same long-lasting grip but feels incredibly elegant—like a high-end hydrating skincare serum. The Minor Drawback: Because it is designed to create a 'grip' on the skin, you must let it set for about 30 to 60 seconds before applying your foundation. If you rush and immediately rub makeup over it while it is still fully wet, you won't get the long-lasting benefits. This product is incredibly popular in Korea, and I had heard that almost all makeup artists use it, so I was really curious to try it. I was so happy to find out I could buy it on Amazon in the U.S. without having to shop in Korea! After using it, I finally understood why it’s so well-loved. It’s meant to be applied as the first step after skincare, before makeup, and it instantly makes your skin feel hydrated. It contains tiny glitters that give your skin a dewy, glowing finish. It smooths out the texture of your skin, and when you apply makeup on top, it not only lasts longer but also makes your complexion look much healthier. I’ve completely fallen in love with it. Sometimes, even when I don’t wear makeup, I still apply it and people often tell me how great my skin looks!

This primer is really popular in Korea. It is a little pricy but totally worth it. It is light and slightly grippy but not overly sticky. It helps adhering foundation or cushions on the skin and prevents separation later. I’m so glad I can buy this from Amazon now.

This primer has a lightweight, serum-like texture that feels comfortable on the skin while giving just enough grip for makeup to stay in place. It’s silicone-free and works especially well for my dry skin, leaving my face hydrated with an almost tacky (but not sticky) finish. Makeup applies smoothly over it and looks fresh and natural throughout the day.

It has a smooth finish, most of the primers I have used have a tacky/ sticky feel. Runny and thin so it spreads easily and the color doesn’t leave a tint. Can’t say I would buy it again.

I am very picky with primers and even find I prefer my makeup without them at times, but this one is a game changer! It has a very noticeable shimmer when you first pump it out of the bottle which made me nervous, but once blended onto the face it just leaves a light radiant finish that is brightening and soft without looking too shiny or sparkly. It does leave the skin tacky, great for holding on to any concealer or foundation applied over top. It allows me to blend my base makeup more easily and though I would not say it’s miraculous or pore blurring, it does make a noticeable difference. My skin tone looks more even and makeup stays in place looking fresh much longer when I wear this. My full face stayed put and reasonably nice looking even walking around all day in the humid Australian summer heat (which on my oily t-zone is quite an impressive feat). It’s by far my favorite makeup base, and I find myself reaching for it every day now. I’ll definitely repurchase!

This has been my favorite cosmetic purchase from Amazon I’m not even kidding. This base has been my tried and true all fall/winter. It really solved my dry- base problem. Not too hydrating where you have to wait forever to apply your makeup and just a little tacky but not so much that it’s weird. 10/10

保湿というより糊みたいにペタペタするので密着力があがる感じです。
