I have a big head for a chick, so it is slightly snug, but doesn't leave any marks on my forehead. It has adjustability. I get so many complements on it. I love the distressed look and the embroidery.The visor doesn't protect much of your face, but I purchased the DaBrim visor that I put on the helmet.The DaBrim visor fits nicely on the helmet! (Unfortunately, the DaBrim isn't sold on Amazon, but is well worth the purchase to keep the sun off your face.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great helmet and design and very comfortable! IMPORTANT UPDATE! The 'Cheyenne' helmet is really stylish, especially considering I ride western, very comfortable and the snap/clip under the chin is better than the previous helmet I had. I bought a size Medium and no adjustments were needed when it arrived. I just put it on and away we went! I've been wearing helmets for years and if it wasn't for them, one bad horse accident I had that ended with a mild concussion would have been much worse without a helmet. I do agree with another reviewer that it can be warm in the hotter months of the year and that it doesn't really offer 'air flow' as Troxel told that reviewer. But I'm in the upper Midwest and don't typically ride when it's terribly hot out and feel my horse and I both will feel refreshed when the gear comes off. ;-)UPDATE 11/19/17 While my previous Troxel Cheyenne helmet purchase still stands at 5 stars, I just ordered and received another helmet and to my shock, this helmet appears to be a USED HELMET!! As soon as I opened the package I saw that this new helmet had more scuff and scratch marks than the original Troxel Western riding helmet I bought 5 or more years ago but has been re-packaged and re-tagged to appear new. And if any one representing this helmet feels otherwise, then at the very least it was handled in a severely careless way. Either way, it has the apperance of much use and there is no way I would trust my head in something that has either been used before or handled so carelessly. It also has a much tighter fit that the exact same helmet I purchased in 2016. So BUYER BEWARE and carefully check your helmet when it arrives.
