Great quality
Great quality. I had to replace the strap, but over all very happy with it.

Winch is ambidextrous. You can change which side the handle is on.
Got it installed yesterday. No issues at all other than i needed to go get longer bolts to go through the mounting surface. Heavily built for the 3500lb capacity. You do have to unbolt and move the handle toa different set of gears to change speeds, which is alkward, but common to almost every hand winch i've ever seen. Other reviews mention that the handle is on the "wrong" (left) side. Lol . . .Remove the spool, pop the C-clips out from the gear shafts, flip the shafts around, put the c-clips and spool back in with the gears on the side you want the handle on. It's basic mechanical engineering, folk! Be careful popping the c-clips, as they will fly far and wide. You can get replacements at the local hardware store if your land in the grass like mine did . . . .

Just what I needed. Fit perfectly in place. Love the two gears making it easier to pull a heavy load.

Winch
Well built product seems very solid , my only complaint is I wish the crank was on the opposite side then what it is on , but guess I will get used to it all and all its a nice winch

Works great, but the handle fell off on the maiden voyage, and I’m having a very hard time finding a replacement handle..

Secures To My Trailer With Ease
I was a bit worried when getting this a it isn't made for a certain make of trailer and sometimes universal things can pose fitting issues. I have a pacific trailer, and this was not an issue at all. I got this mounted and hooked up with no issues at all, and nothing extra needed other then running the mounting hardware through the trailer and the winch. For the winch itself our boat is only about 1200LBS and this pulled it up with ease. I found the gears and everything to be smooth, it was easy to winch it up and took next to no physical effort in order to get winched. And it locked in well and didn't give any slack when we didn't want it. Like wise it was just as easy to unlock the winch and get that slack to let out the boat or to unhook the winch. The build quality was super solid, everything was well put together, everything was really smooth when it came to its mechanism. The strap was well enforced, and we had no issues with the strap running off the spool, or getting twisted or off of its alignment. The handle was comfortable, and as mentioned above for our boat it really didn't take much effort to get our boat winched up and locked in. For a universal winch and one that is on the cheaper side I'm impressed but can recommend it. For our trailer and our boat it worked wonderfully. It posed no issues, it wasn't a paint to lock up and secure, it was just as easy to release the winch and let it loose, we had no issues with it unlatching when we didn't want it too.

Heavier duty than I expected, it’s a beast.
This winch is definitely a lot more heavy-duty than I initially expected. Right out of the box, it’s clear that it’s built tough, with thick steel construction and a solid, heavy feel. It’s a two-speed winch, which is a nice feature to have. While two-speed winches aren’t uncommon, it’s definitely useful to have two handle positions for different scenarios, depending on how much leverage or speed you need. The ratcheting mechanism is a bit old-school, with the clicks spaced fairly far apart. That’s not really a problem if you’re just pulling lighter loads, like boats, but it’s worth noting. Some higher-end winches have more teeth on the cog, which gives you a tighter ratchet, but at this price point, that’s not really a deal-breaker. At the time of this review, this winch retails for around 90 CAD, and for that price, it’s an excellent deal. It definitely doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy; it’s got the kind of durability and strength you want for the job. While I don’t have a 3,500-pound load on hand to test it to its full rating, I did use it to pull my roughly 1,500-pound boat onto shore, and it handled the task easily. That gives me confidence that it can manage its rated capacity without any issues. Overall, this winch is a solid piece of equipment. It feels strong, reliable, and built to last, and I’m really pleased with the performance so far. For the price, it’s hard to go wrong with this one
