This is the same kind of ink used at the bank and other places that use fingerprints for identity on documents. Initially your finger appears to have ink on it and when the ink hits the paper it is permanent. Slowly the "ink" on your finger fades and wipes right off with no stain whatsoever. Highly recommend this product. **Q: can this be used for passports** A: Yes it can I did mine with with n had no issue **Q: How long can I keep it packed and then open to use it. Does it dry off when its packed?
