The fit and finish on this knife was superb. Excellent metal finish on the blade, and where the tang goes through the handle the edges were rounded resulting in a superior grip. The handle material has proven to be durable yet comfortable. Torx screws hold the handle together securely and do not interfere with the grip. The bolster is large enough to keep my index finger away from the cutting edge. The size of this knife is excellent - it's large enough to be a great camp knife yet remain well balanced. This knife is an excellent choice.

I wasn’t sure about this knife because I’m not familiar with Sleipner blade steel. But, I have two folders by LionSteel, a Bestman with ebony scales I got for my daughter and a Jack with carbon fiber I really liked but lost. I like the quality of Italian knives. I received my LionSteel M5 with G10 scales today. It arrived very sharp. I stropped it a while, anyway. It is plenty sharp for a woods knife. The G10 scales fit my medium size hand well and feel secure. The Cordura sheath has a plastic blade protector and has multiple methods of carry and a pouch for a small stone, if wanted. All the Italian knives I have came with their spines crowned. I’d definitely buy it again.

I was searching for the best fixed blade for me. I bought this one and its smaller version, the M4. Both have an incredibly comfortable grip with no hot spots. I am truly amazed by the quality for the price. Sharp as a razor out of the box. The leather sheaths are beautifully well made and comfortable to wear on a belt. The retention snap is very very tight, at first. After a couple days, it fits more easily and is lengthened through natural leather stretching to perfect length for easy snapping and unsnapping.

I love Lionsteel knives, each are crafted, feel great in hand and made with quality materials. I love knifes and have a little problem because I buy a lot of them.This lionsteel M5 is one of the best knives I have. It’s beautiful and high quality. The sheath is one of the best I have ever seen. Full grain leather double stitched love this knife.

Great knife all around! Quality steel and very durable. Have had the m5 with wood handle for almost 5 yrs now. Awesome camp and hunting knife. It’s dressed deer, turkey, rabbits, and duck... used as wood baton... prep’ed dinner etc. just bought second one here as a gift. Highly recommended. I can’t say enough about the durability of this steel as well.

Lionsteel makes the world’s best knives in my opinion. Not a single one ever disappoints, including this M5. Great build quality, great materials, thick Italian full grain leather sheath. And at $150 it’s better than comparable knives at $300+. Such an easy recommendation.

I just wanna start off by saying the knife itself is absolutely beautiful and built like a brick poo house. I was skeptical of the Olivewood, because I thought it would be too light, but it actually has a really beautiful grain. really good grip the way they machined those grooves into the wood is spectacular. now the sheath is most certainly misunderstood, it is beautiful, but it does begin to unravel the stitching at the ends. What I did is take a lighter and run it over the stitching, wherever it can unfurl very lightly just to kind of heat it up, slightly melt it, and then quickly push it down with my thumb to fuse it. now I’m not saying burn it I’m just saying, melt it a little bit and push it in. do that and it will never unfurl. Beyond that it’s actually a quality leather sheath.
