I am such a huge fan of this serum. I first heard about it on TikTok which I was looking for a decent retinol serum, and was immediately convinced to try it because of the Amore Pacific connection and the amount of research and care that seems to go into all their product lines. So - flash forward 6 months and I am on my third bottle of this! It's really a great, easy to use retinol - non-irritating and it absolutely works. My skin is much more uniform and smooth and there has been ZERO irritation. The packaging is gorgeous, the price point is spot on, and there is no smell or irritation. Very easy to layer on with additional products - and I am now using the rest of the STEM line with this (they have a great cream, a spectacular serum, and some toner products I want to try). A great K-Beauty find and a product that doesn't get anywhere near as much press and love as it should.

The label can be a bit confusing for some, but this serum has 1% granactive retinol. The 4X refers to Iope's Retinol & Retinoid Quadruple Complex which is a combination of pure retinol, encapsulated retinol, Granactive Retinoid, and Bio-Seletinoid. It doesn't mean that there is 40% or even 4%...it's just a way of stating their proprietary blend. This serum is really gentle. This is partly because your skin doesn't have to convert the vitamin A to a format it can recognize. Your skin automatically recognizes granactive retinol. The conversion is what causes a lot of irritation. That being said, I wouldn't recommend using this near the under eyes and definitely wear sunscreen during the day. This formula has a lot of active ingredients that are proven to do what they say and I would definitely recommend this serum. It is unscented but has that unscented scent if you know what I mean. The bottle is heavy glass and very nice looking. The texture is like a very light lotion straight out of the pump and it sort of melts into a serum consistency as soon as you apply it. It provides some moisture and doesn't feel sticky at all once it is absorbed.

IOPE RETINOL SUPER BOUNCE SERUM I didn't realize that this has 40% retinol which is very high which I thought might be hard on my sensitive skin but it was fine and really helps to soften my super dry skin. I can use this at night without any issues. It doesn't have any scent and doesn't irritate my skin.
