very flexible backup camera solution with no major downside
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm happy to share my experience with this backup wireless camera, which has changed the way I use a rearview camera in my vehicle. This innovative device has addressed several critical pain points that made traditional backup cameras a hassle. Key Benefits: Wireless Convenience: No more tedious and risky video wire routing process! This camera is completely wireless, making it a breeze to install, even for those who aren't car experts. Solar Powered: Say goodbye to worrying about power wire connections to the cigarette outlet. The solar-powered design ensures that the camera stays charged and ready to go. HD Video Quality: The image quality is impressive, comparable to OEM backup camera standards. You'll enjoy clear and crisp visuals, giving you confidence when reversing. Magnetic mount: you can put it on anywhere in second without worrying about mounting screws or adapters. There is also a soft rubber liner between the magnet and your car, so no worry about scratching the paint MicroSD card: support video recording during backup. (there is even a short video clip of the factory QC team testing the device) Large battery capacity: long video streaming without worrying about low battery Additional Features: Negligible video lag for real-time monitoring Large field of view for enhanced safety Minor Initially I really worry about losing the camera with only magnetic mount, but the super easy installation eliminates the concern by easily removing the camera if you worry about that. Overall, I highly recommend this wireless backup camera to anyone looking for a convenient and high-quality solution. I have the 5" screen license plate version camera as a front view camera during parking my full size SUV. I found this 7" version offers very flexible solution for trailers

Works Exceptionally Well.
Fantastic picture even at night. No problem with the camera staying charged. I am a big fan. The mount that came with the monitor was no useful for my dash and I had to do a bit of Gerry rigging. Still looking for a better solution. It is well worth the money. I am so much safer with being able to see behind me. Since no wiring was involved is was no problem to install. I did have a friend drill and mount the camera high up on the back of my RV. I had used it for awhile just magnetically attached to my bumper which worked well. But I would remove it when parked so it wouldn't get stolen.

Great product and excellent value!
Although I just received this camera I have to give it four stars for design, quality construction, great packaging and most importantly- ease of setup! Assembly and startup are very intuitive, which is good because the instructions are a bit lacking. But overall it was fast and easy to get this camera powered up and working. The magnet in the camera is really strong and I am confident it will do the job. I plan to use this on my RV and will probably remove it when traveling. The cords and cables are plenty long enough and seem to be good quality. The picture is awesome and I love the fact that you can record using the included Micro SD chip. I stuck it to the rear of my car and drove around my farm just to see how it performs and I couldn’t be more pleased. I don’t have experience with other brands or models but I can’t imagine there is a better value out there. If you need a rear view camera I can highly recommend this one.

The product is very simple to use, good quality and very useful for a truck camper setup like mine.
There are several versions of this package. I tested a version which includes a magnetic mount solar powered camera (referred to as “SL5”) and a license plate mounted camera referred to as “SL3” in addition to a monitor which is nominally 7” measured on the diagonal. The product comes well packaged in a plain white carton. Inside is a plastic liner premolded with spaces for the included parts. There is an SL5 camera which is rather bulky but includes a solar system and a strong magnetic mount. There is an SL3 camera which is a 7” x 1.25” x 1.5” black plastic bar which is premounted on a bracket designed to fit behind a license plate. There is also a wide profile 7” diagonal (2.25” x 6.25”) color lcd monitor. Mounting accessories include a dash mount system for the monitor, a pair of different metal mounts which can be screwed on and used as a base for the magnetic mount of the SL5, some antennas, 2 USB-C charging cables, a power cable for the monitor and 2 small bags of allen screws and wrenches. There is also of course a small user manual. The picture quality is very good although the colors don’t run true. It is easy to see details at all distances from the cameras. The cameras are pre-paired as Camera 1 and Camera 2. The documentation isn't very good, but that doesn't matter because the product is very simple to install and use. The monitor has a simple online menu that allows you to configure a few parameters. It comes pre-configured so the whole thing takes literally seconds to install if you don’t ask any questions and don’t bother to set the time. There are 3 functional pieces to this system that are distinct and communicate through wifi. The only wiring necessary is for the power to the monitor, which is just a power plug. The included plug does require a USB power port, but conveniently it offers a USB port on the back if you need to power another accessory as well. The monitor is designed to mount to a bracket affixed to a flexible pad which is stuck to the dash with adhesive. It has a limited range swivel mount with adjustable tension. The monitor itself clips on and off this mount. The SL5 camera has a magnetic mount. Installation can be as simple as sticking it to your vehicle surface. The camera lens can swivel from horizontal (perpendicular to the magnetic surface, to pointing down 30 degrees. There are also 2 included metal brackets which can be screwed on to the vehicle or affixed with double sided tape (not included). One of the brackets has a 30 degree down angle built in. The SL5 then mounts magnetically to the bracket and in this case, you can use a small screw (included) to have a slight bit of security for the camera. There is a 4” long plastic antenna which must be screwed to the side of the SL5. It can be straight or has a 90 degree bend to point up or down. There is a 3.5” x 1.25” solar panel on top of the SL5 to keep it charged. The SL3 camera is designed to attach to a bracket which mounts behind a license plate. Alternatively, there is also a precut piece of double sided tape which can be used to mount the bracket. The SL3 clips onto the bracket and has its own small screw for a little bit of security. The SL3 allows the entire lens assembly to twist up or down by about 45 degrees (total range of 90). There is a small (4.5” x 0.75”) solar panel on the SL3 to keep it charged. The solar panel points horizontally in the default configuration. The install consists of simply sticking the monitor mount to the dash and plugging it in, mounting the 2 cameras, and setting the time in the monitor menu section. It could all be done in 2 minutes if you had the tools ready to install the license plate mounted camera. There are just 3 buttons on the back of the monitor; up, down, and menu. In the default configuration the monitor goes to sleep and the camera is switched off to save power. You must press one of the buttons to wake it up. You can then toggle through the available views (camera 1, camera 2 or both) using the down button. You can change the sleep time (120s, 240s, or never) in the monitor menu. Unlike most backup cameras which are automatically switched on when going into reverse, you must wake up the monitor (and thus the cameras) manually. The menu allows you to put grid lines (the angled yellow/red backup lines that indicate where the car might go in reverse) on either or both of the camera views but they aren’t shown when both camera views are displayed. The grid lines don’t know if you’re turning so they aren’t as good as inbuilt systems. Also, the grids can not be adjusted so they may be deceptive. The monitor menu also allows you to pair/unpair cameras. You can adjust the brightness, you can mirror or vertically flip the camera images or you can record and playback the camera feeds if you use a 8-64G class 10 TF card (not included). The cameras can each be charged from a USB-C cable. The documentation indicates that if they are run full time they will last about 12 hours. But when the monitor goes to sleep the cameras go into hibernation. I’ve maintained charge on both cameras for over a week of regular use so far. The expectation would be that in normal use they’d get enough charge from solar to keep the batteries charged. I assume if you garage your vehicle it would only get sun when in use so the camera batteries won’t get as much charge. Battery technology has improved significantly but I’d still be concerned about running down the battery and limiting the lifetime of the camera. At $200+ I would not want to consider this a disposable iterm. This is a helpful product for my situation. I have a slide in truck camper. When the camper is loaded it blocks the license plate on the back of the truck. I cheat and mount my front plate on the back of the camper to save the effort of swapping plates when loading/unloading the camper. I think a good use of this package would be to have the license plate mounted camera on the back of the truck and the magnetic camera at the top, rear of the camper. I’d usually have the monitor configured to show just the camera 1 image and simply switch to camera 2 when loading the camper.

Great product!
Excellent product, works very well so far (have used it on two trips). Image is clear, connectivity is easy and consistent. The main trick I have learned so far is to not always have the screen/camera on. The solar does not keep up with the usage. A simple timeout adjustment makes it easily last the whole trip at full battery. Would absolutely buy this again.

A rugged durable camera system that works as intended right out of the box
I purchased this camera system to go on my older model truck and a RV travel trailer. It is the perfect product for me, it was easy and quick to install and works perfectly. The cameras have strong magnet mounts. I have driven on some rough roads and the cameras did not move at all. The screen image is excellent. The cameras synced with the screen unit the first time right out of the box. Switching between screens is super easy while driving or you can select a split screen imagine. The distance from the rear of my RV to the dash board of my truck is over 40 feet. This was a concern I had before I made my purchase. The signal from the RV camera is excellent, I have not had any problems while driving or parking the RV. The installation of the Auto-Vox Solar Backup Camera system has made my RV trips easier and safer. The system has allowed me to back the RV into some tight parking spots which is a major deal for me. When I am pulling the RV now I can see behind me, which make changing lanes much safer and less stressful. The Auto-Vox Solar Backup Camera system is a top value for the price, I strongly recommend this product.

Backup camera solution
This backup camera delivers on several key fronts, making it a solid option for those seeking convenience and straightforward functionality. Installation and setup are impressively simple—no professional help needed. The magnetic mount makes repositioning a breeze, and the built-in solar charging capability is a standout feature, eliminating the hassle of regular battery maintenance. The design is sleek and attractive, blending well with most vehicles. That said, the performance has some limitations. The viewing angle is relatively narrow, which means you won’t see the corners of your vehicle or trailer—a drawback for those needing a full rear view. The ability to pan out to an ultra-wide angle or zoom in would greatly enhance the utility. Also, while the software supports multiple cameras, there’s currently no clear option to purchase and easily integrate an additional camera—a missed opportunity for users wanting expanded coverage. Overall, this is a great choice for basic backup needs, with a few areas where expanded functionality could elevate the product further.

Seamless Install
The installation was simple, and aside from our personal modifications, neither camera took long to install. We had to relocate the center brake light on the trailer to accommodate the camera's center viewing. Loved the idea that it was wireless and could be installed without any long cable runs. The cameras are well-made and durable; the rear has such a strong magnet that it could hold by itself; however, I still used the bracket screw for security. The USB charging is somewhat of an inconvenience, having to remove the cameras to charge. To avoid this, I use a longer charging cable and a portable power pack to charge the cameras. The display is a decent size, not taking up too much dashboard space; however, I would have preferred incorporating the camera's feed into the rear-view mirror as with the AUTO-VOX V5PRO system. Note: it may seem like the solar panel is not working, but in fact, it is charging—just slowly due to natural limitations. When the camera is solar-powered, the sun icon on the screen will light up in the top right-hand corner.

Super Easy Setup and Works Better Than Expected
I was honestly a bit skeptical at first, but this backup camera blew me away. Installation was exactly as advertised—took me barely a minute to get it on my truck. No wires, no drilling, no stress. Just stuck it on, turned it on, and it worked right away. The base is really strong, and it hasn’t moved at all even after a few long drives. The 1080P monitor is super clear, even at night. I was surprised how far the signal reaches—I’ve used it on my truck and the video feed stayed stable the whole time. The solar charging is a great touch since I don’t have to worry about running out of battery. It comes with a storage bag too, which is perfect for when I want to switch vehicles or store it safely. Overall, this is easily one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while. It made backing up so much easier and safer. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a reliable, portable backup camera!!!!

Great camera with a theft risk
Very easy to setup and run, great image with no lag. The only downside I have found is the obvious risk of leaving the camera unattended on the vehicle, its quite big and can be easily seen which means it could very easily be stolen.

Simple, rapide, efficace
