Are You What You Eat?

Great book on nutrition
My 6-year-old is very curious about the building blocks of everything, including food. We've had nightly discussions about protein and sugar and balanced diets. I wanted a book that would go into more depth without being overwhelming. Are You What You Eat? fits the bill.I do not expect children to sit down and read this book from front to back. Like other DK books, information is separated into small sections, with multiple "sections" per page. This allows kids to jump around at their own pace and absorb the things they are interested in in the moment.I looked at a number of nutrition books for children before settling on this one. I read a lot of customer reviews and looked at interior pictures. I'm glad I chose this one. The book is well researched and based on science. I highly recommend it for kids 6 and up.

Best educational kids book I've purchased in a while
This book is exactly what I was looking for to teach my first-grader about nutrition! My kid is very bright and wants to know the facts and reasoning behind what he's learning. It's difficult to find a history and science-based book that is written simple (and detailed) enough for a young child to understand. Are You What You Eat goes beyond the normal fluff of nutrition education to explain all a kid should know in detail.I highlight recommend this book to any parent wishing to teach with science!!

EXCELLENT BOOK!!!!
This book is perfect. My 8 year old and I are both enjoying it and learning. I am SO glad I found this book!!! Kids need to learn and know these things. We all do. I wish I had this when I was a kid.My 8 year old says she likes to see the timelines and she likes to see all the colorful photos. ( Me too!)

Good info explained simply
I’m 29 and I wanted a book that would break down nutrition in a very simple factual manner without completely boring me. This book did just that. Although it’s clear my age range is probably not the target audience lol and I felt there were a few things that might have been worded better, this book was exactly what I was looking for.

Great for nutrition basics
This is a real easy and fun way to teach your kids the importance of what they put on your plate. I also learned a lot from the book!

Nutrition is so important
This book was recommended by our pediatrician. Great info for our 7 and 9 year old to understand nutrition better. We are what we eat.

Must read
Got it for my 6 year old but it’s not just for kids but adults who want to know basics on how the body works to care for it better.
