Will these protect a wound while in the pool?

It does work in a pool. I use it to cover my FreeStyle Libre CGM sensor and went on a cruise recently. I was able to snorkel and swim for hrs without any issues. The Tegaderm provided a tight waterproof seal.

Can you put the film directly over the wound or do you have to use a bandage

Definitely put these directly on the wound! They are all you need and work better than any dressing I've ever used. Placing these over a bandage or gauze would defeat their purpose, and seal in possible germs and bacteria from the bandage application. Not to mention you will likely have to deal with the bandage or gauze lifting the scab upon removal. Please Goggle this product and read about these type of bandages! Sounds like many people are misusing them.

Just want to make sure before ordering that these are completely transparent? I need them as an underarm barrier for a dance costume of sequin.

yes they are completely transparent - they are shiny and will glisten, but considering you're using sequins glistening of the tegaderm shouldn't be a problem

Great for protecting medical patches in the water.

I rely heavily on these to cover my medication patch when bathing or swimming. Been using them for years. Price always varies. Great product. Use on clean skin. Let it be on your skin for 5-10 mins before getting wet and youre all good!

Received the wrong product!!

I ordered Tegaderm 1626 and received the smaller 1624. This won’t work for the purpose I need and you’re saying no returns? This is not the product I ordered!
