I'm looking to spell out Elliot for a maternity photo shoot. Can you please advise if this set comes with those mult?

The set has four of each letter (two being the colorful red,blue,green or yellow and the other two being more simplistic outlines of the letter) so you would be able to spell out Elliot. I went through my blocks to make sure it could be done ;). Just a heads up all the letters to spell Elliot are either Red or Blue so if you were hoping to get more of a color variation that will not happen with this set. I also bought this set for a maternity shoot and it worked out well for the photos however I was hoping to use these blocks as a toy for my soon to be son and was disappointed at how sharp the corners were on these blocks. The blocks also ended up being smaller than I had expected them to be. Hope this helps :)

You wouldn't be able to spell them both out at the same time due to not enough "A" blocks. Only colors the blocks come in is red, green, blue and orange. In Jackson it's mostly all orange (green j, red a, orange ckso and green n). Alexandra is mostly alternating red and blue with 2 green. If you want a picture, email edv7787@hotmail.com.

What is the "included pouch"? Is there a separate canvas bag or just the plastic box it come in?

What type of wood are they made from?

They are wood, but NOT the sturdy ones from years ago. They are a softer wood and weigh approximately 50% less.

I bought these wooden blocks primarily as props for my photography with babies. Although some reviewers have mentioned they are rather small, they are exactly the same size that I remember them from my childhood. There's a good selection of letters and numbers so it's easy to spell out words and short sentences with them. However I find that the yellow blocks don't photograph very well! They feel durable, and my daughter (7 months old) also enjoys playing with these blocks which are a good size for her little hands to grasp.
