In the city of Townsville, the frustrated Professor Utonium is gathering all the ingredients to make a perfect little girl (sugar, spice, and everything nice). But when his lab assistant, a monkey named Jojo, causes the accidental addition of Chemical X to the mix, the Professor ends up with not one but 3 perfect, powerful little girls. It soon becomes obvious that Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are not normal girls, they have superpowers and have not yet learned to control. The girls are treated like outcasts because they have inadvertently wrecked Townsville in a superpowered game of tag. To win the hearts of the people of Townsville, the girls are tricked into making a deal with Jojo who plans to take over Townsville. As the girls foil this threat and defeat an army of superpowered monkeys, the Powerpuff Girls learn that with great power comes great responsibility. Review: Off the top, our twin girls are upset that the second disc of Season 1 will just straight up not work at all. The DVD rack is not even attached to the case at all, which is the first we've ever seen, and we buy a loooot of DVDs still to this day. And there is also hairs, crumbs, and bits of thread or material, and what looks like sneeze spatter on the discs... Definitely a used product, and we definitely want a replacement for Season 1 Disc 2, and a partial refund too also. Very very disappointing, considering this cost 100$ AUD! Review: This DVD set of one of my favorite childhood shows is absolutely perfect! The slim design that houses all of the Discs doesn't take up much space on my overflowing movie shelf. The display quality of the episodes is great it's just like watching them back when I was 8. I actually like that the credits roll after each episode evem on play all mode because it lets you see the voice credits. (Im a nerd for that stuff.) And the skip scene function on your DVD lines up with skipping the end credits and the theme song so that you can easily just watch through all of the episodes with a couple clicks of a button. There's a little booklet inside that has a list of every single episode per disc and season. The subtitles are a decent quality to provide some context on things you might have missed when you were a kid. They are on the larger side and there's no way to adjust that size so that's kind of my only gripe about the settings. Overall highly recommend!!!
