I'm taking my sheltered indoor kitty on a cross country plane ride including a layover** A: Not sure how long they last. But we gave our cat the drops starting two days before then on same day. We had an 8 hour road trip which he did very well through. We then gave him drops for a couple days after. Before drops he sensed we were moving and started licking off hair on his breast. He stopped licking while on the drops. He definitely was stressed and knew something was up. The pet version is Alcohol free - says that on the label. You are talking about the human version. You cannot give any alcohol to an animal. **Q: Is it alcohol free or not?** A: This is an alcohol-free formula formula. **Q: Just curious as to the origin of the glycerine in the item - is it synthetic, vegetable-based, animal-based, or a biodiesel byproduct? Thank you!** A: This product was suggested to me by a dog expert. They show small dogs and use it to calm them down at he dog shows. It is ALL NATURAL products and there is no way it can harm an animal. I have a Chi/Pom mix who is very hyper. I give him 3 drops in his food in the morning and it calms him down considerably for the day. I'm just about ready to order another bottle.
