K&N Cold Air Intake System: High-Flow Air Filter, Increase Performance & Towing: Compatible with 1996-2001 Jeep: Cherokee, 57-1518

Very easy to install due to perfect fit in my 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The hardest part was getting the stock filter out. The big question is: why automotive manufacturers don't design and install air intake systems with this kind of performance instead of an aftermarket company having to do it.My jeep runs much better although I have yet to see the added MPG benefit. I'm sure this can be attributed to the added horsepower making it impossible not to pounce on the accelerator every chance you get. If like many Cherokee owners, you love your vehicle and want it to last - this is a great modification for your engine. After that first big deep breath your Cherokee will thank you.

This thing is Great! More power some fuel savings I can actually see it if I keep my foot out. More power due to more air intake. We test our rigs here going up from 3200 ft to 4500 ft grade that's five miles long. It's the pass out of town plenty of power no kick down all the way up. Definitely worth it to me. Haven't needed dry sock yet but will this summer.

K&N make a great product--we all know that, but sometimes they seem to be a bit "pricey".You get what you pay for, and I'd rather pay for quality and correct engineering than cheaping out, especially when it comes to my vehicle.I knew I wanted this, but I didn't "need" it, so I kept on my wish list checking the price on a daily basis. A couple of days ago, this showed up as an "open box/return" in the warehouse deals section at a drastically reduced price so I jumped on it.It arrived last night, and after a once-over reading the instructions, it was installed in my Jeep in less than 45 minutes.If you're looking at this, you know you want it...just buy it, it's worth every penny.

Did get a few extra hp. No change on gas mileage. Seems to make better power on the low end, top end didn't change. Easy install, cool whistle sound at partial throttle. Adds a cool look under the hood.

For $350....good thing i bought it for the name and performance.it does not look good,this is my first plastic intake so maybe thats normal.its a great product

This took me about 15 minutes to install, and I immediately noticed the performance boost in my Jeep. The engine has a nice roar when I am accelerating now, and the airflow does not feel restricted as it did with the stock air intake. This is the easiest and cheapest way to improve HP and MPG. I will be putting this kit on all future cars, well worth the money!!

Best 260 dollars i ever spent. Went on in about half an hour and fit perfectly. If you live where its humid make sure you have some deep creep or WD40 to loosen up the stock air box bolts, mine were pretty rusty and hard to get out. Maybe some minor mileage improvement, but some very noticeable power and response. Would buy again.

You can't go wrong with this K&N air filter kit. Like all the other reviews have said, I immediately noticed a difference!!There was a noticable increase in HP and torque on my 01 Jeep Cherokee sport! When you give it some gas it will push you back into your seat.Install was a piece of cake. Only took about an hour total... from opening the package to finish.Overall, extremely pleased with this product.
