Excellent working product, software installation has all instructions included. I also recommend try to use latest Inpa version as well.

Takes a little patience if you don’t do the install correctly.
Win Xp is only supported but I got the cable to work on Windows 10 then downloaded a better version of the INPA software and other utilities and everything works fine. They do offer support but I was able to make it work on my own.

Software infected with Trojan
The CD that came with this tool does not have any instructions and the CD is unlabeled. When I went to install Windows defender flagged a Trojan file Trojan:Win32/Tiggre!rfn .This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker. Had to take computer offline to clean it out. Be AWARE OF THIS PROGRAM. You can find the files online from several BMW enthusiasts sites.

Works for 2004 e46 BMW
Comes with a switch to bridge pins 7 and 8 which is needed in most cases to work on e46 BMW's. Switch to switch to the left for bridged connection or right for open connection

Needed this to get my ISTA+ to work
W/O this cord my ISTA+ would not read my car. I have an E60 so I have to to position 2, one being all the way to the right. Now I can diagnose any electrical problem for my 04 BMW 525i

Beware trojan software
I purchased this and downloaded the provided software on the cd. When I installed it I got a warning that there is a severe risk and trojan software present. I deleted it and tried again and got the same notification.
