No significant changes
I needed to upgrade an older version to run on Windows 7 but this version provides no significant improvements over older versions. It works fine but I just discovered (May 27, 2013)a printing issue with it. If I attempt to print more than one month at a time, it doesn't print anything and has wreaked havoc with my print spooler (turned it off), caused my printer drivers to get "horsed up" to the point a had to tell my PC that the printer was not there and reload my complete printer configuration including the wireless set up. After doing all this I verified that I could only print one month at a time. If I try to print several months at once, the print fails with dire results. Now even after all of this, it won't print at all. I guess I will have to try their famous technical support.

CalendarCreatorDeluxe v12.1 ain't no CalendarCreatorPlus!
First some illuminating background:I am among (what I have discovered to be) the LEGIONS of multi-decade users of the PRIOR versions of CalendarCreator v 12.1. In my case, I've been using CalendarCreatorPlus (the ORIGINAL product, essentially version 1 for MS DOS, designed developed and distributed by Power UP!) for over 2 decades. I have found CC+ to be indispensable in my satellite engineering job at work, my home life, and my personal life. Up until recently, my attitude has been "You will have to pry CC+ from my cold, dead hands!" So, "What happened 'recently'?" you ask. Well, the short answer is that the Hewlett Packard PCL3-GUI-compatible printer that I was using, died (and after an autopsy, I determined that, after 8 years of home use, a spline-mounted plastic gear had split and could no longer reliably drive the paper along the 180° paper path). Off to the store to get a replacement HP-brand printer. This one featured "PCL3-Enhanced printer language". After I got the new printer home and elaborately set up, I learned, to my chagrin, that "PCL3-Enhanced" is not the same as, and is not compatible with, "PCL3-GUI", which, I had discovered, is the language of CC+. The bottom line is that the new HP printer could not print the CC+ output, as had all the many printers in my two-decade past history with CC+. This tale-of-woe leads me back to the instant product, CalendarCreatorDeluxe v12.1. Yes, CCv12.1 could print to the new (Windows GDI) printer, BUT... and here's the big BUT... CCv12.1 does not feature the print-time multi-event-list capability that is present, and on which I have depended for over two decades, and is a fundamental element of the original CC+. To explain: the original CC+ allows me, at print time, to select one or more "event lists" to print in an overlaid fashion; thus, for example, I have one overlay for the birthdays that are of interest to me; a different overlay for birthdays that are of interest to my wife; an overlay for each of MY projects A, B, and C; and overlay for each of MY WIFE's projects D, E, and F; an overlay for my personal events and activities; an overlay for my wife's personal events and activities; an overlay for our JOINT events and activities; and so on. And at print time, with the original CC+, I can effortlessly select any or all of the overlays to merge onto the printed page, for as many weeks/months as I choose, depending on the objective of the calendar I need at the moment. NOT SO FOR CC v12.1! CC v12.1 can accommodate one, and only one, event list at a time. And if I was going to make CC v12.1 work for us, I'd have to find some way to mold our calendar life to the new constraints of the new program, AND we'd have to abandon a two-decade-old learning curve to undertake a brand new one. I realized I have a decision to make. If I'm going to have a functional calendar program that has become so essential to our work-life, home-life, and personal-life, I'm going to have to invest a significant personal engineering effort at this point. Do I "invest" in the new CCv12.1, or expend the effort to make the battle-proven old CC+ print? A discussion with my wife sealed the deal; "...spend your time and effort on the 'old, familiar' program, CalendarCreatorPlus". The die having been cast, I set out on a quest to make the old, DOS, CC+ print on the new, modern, Windows printer (a separate story, worthy of its OWN narrative!), in which I ultimately succeeded. (How, you ask? I found and installed a PCL3-compatible HP Printer Driver that could drive the new HP Windows printer. I route the CC+ printer output through the PCL3 printer driver on its way to the GDI Windows printer -- but only when printing from CC+ !) So, that is why I have abandoned CalendarCreatorDeluxe v12.1 in favor of a 20-something-year-old DOS version of the program. Joe//P.S. Anybody want to buy a "gently used" CC v12.1 package?

Will NOT run on Windows 10 !!
CC V12.1 will not run on Windows 10. Tried the patch suggested by Broderbund but it did not work. Will be returning for a refund. All sellers of this software should make it vary clear that CCV12.1 by Borderbund is no longer supported by Microsoft's Window's 10 operating system and that Borderbund is not going to rewrite the software to make it compatible with Windows 10.This should have been made clear long before this! This is a cut & paste from Encore Software, ( Borderbund) support. I like what you can do with Calendar Creator but...
I had been using an earlier version of Calendar Creator but when I upgraded my computer with Windows 7 Calendar Creator didn't function properly. I read a couple of reviews that said they had a similar problem but when they upgraded to a newer version of Calendar Creator they were able to import events from existing calendars to a calendars. I didn't have the same experience. I had to recreate my calendars from scratch. Calendar Creator kept giving me a message that it couldn't import because the program was updating. Don't expect to be able to import from an older version of CC; it may or may not work.
