For anyone who has used Kinky Curly Custard, how does this compare?

I've not used the "custard." I use the gel which is a slippery liquid that you pour into your hand. I like it for my short curly hair. Not crunchy and adds shine and definition.

Does this help the frizz on relaxed straight hair?

It was recommended by my hairdresser for when I wear it curly. I didn’t like it. I bought Seryna Key leave in conditioner when I wear it straight. Got it thru Amazon, LOVE IT!

Is the normal scent of this like hand soap?

Yes, maybe a little. The scent is very mild. I bought this product after some research and like what it does for my short curly hair.

Does this leave a cast that needs to be crunched out?

No it doesn’t. You need to apply in wet very wet hair very evenly with more on the ends of your hair. Much less than you would think. I’ve been using for 20 years!
