Great socks. Nice feel, comfortable, not too hot. Excellent with kilts.

These socks were much looser (read: comfortable) than the other ones I ordered but these were so long (XXL) they would have gone way past my knees, and I'm tall! So despite the fact that they are very well made I am returning them for size X L.-------------------------Edit to addAs they say, third times the charm. Got the XL this time and have much better fit. Right length, comfortable fit and to turn down the tops without cutting off circulation and had enough room for my sgian dubh

Bought the size suggested for my foot, I wear a 14 EE, even then the socks were way to bi, with toes well in place , the heel was actually past my ankle. With a little adjustment I was able to make this work, but I would suggest ordering a size smaller that what they suggest.

I just wear them once a year at the MD RenFest. I did wear kilt flashes with them and they stayed up all day of walking around the RenFest. I would buy them again.

These kilt hose are fairly lightweight, but not simply knee socks. There are times, at summer Scottish events, when you don't want the heavier weight kilt hose. These look good and will do the job.

Wash them first. They come a little large and shrink to the right size once you wash them the first time. Highly recommend

Had a really hard time finding a pair kilt hose that fit a size 15 shoe and tall enough. These are perfect

These are well made socks that will have their place when my son dresses in kilt and tartan.
