Great Modern Router (High Processing Power)
Yay. I love my new router. I have a lot of smarthome devices, and I host a home web/game server for work. I was very afraid that my port forwarding/dynamic DNS and smarthome would be a pain to migrate to a new router. I was wrong. I used the same network name and password as my old router, and all of my devices reconnected fine (except one chinese security camera which i fixed after). The range is as decent as my old Netgear Nighthawk R7000. The lower frequencies (2.4ghz) have higher range and are better for that. But for processing power of a router, this is it baby. This thing increased my network speed by ~100mbps down and also decreased my latency, pretty impressive. This thing will easily be able to handle all of my smart home devices, server needs and gaming/streaming needs. I think it was a worthy upgrade from my 13yr old router. Quick setup tip: make sure to power down your modem and router first, because your modem is expecting the previous routers MAC address, so you might have to call your ISP and have them send a reboot signal from their end to get your modem to accept the new router MAC address. Other than that, setup was a breeze. Dynamic DNS works well, port forwarding was easy, and there are SO many features I haven't even looked into yet. I also have a TP-LINK network switch, and the router and switch are playing nicely together. All and all, I had netgear routers for like 20 years and they were great, i'm pleased to say that TP-LINK is also great, time will tell though.

Gaming speeds that's affordable
This router brought the fiber speeds back into this house that we've been missing. The range is excellent however I did buy a TP range extender to have another device share the bandwidth load and to keep home devices operating to their full potentials. Speed and ping is low and when it's not it's typically the isp bottling up and nothing a good restart doesn't immediately fix. The TP app is very functional and easy to navigate. I actually subscribed to thier anti-virus and canceled my more expensive one that didn't didn't cover as much.. Their security covers your entire network the other just the device.

It works
I bought it during the sale to finally have something that had more features and control over than the BGW320-500 provided (I mean, the BGW is a decent device for being ISP provided). It works good, good range (easily covers all of our 2000 sq ft house and then some, and is stronger signal compared to the BGW), speeds are good. It was easy to setup in pass through mode off the BGW. Keep in mind that the IoT network doesnโt isolate devices by default, there is another feature for device isolation that you need to turn on and add the devices to it. The feature is pretty cool though since you can choose wired devices to isolate as well.

Good router
This has been a good router for a few months now. It supports multiple bands and facilitates fast internet speeds from the modem. I wish it had just a little stronger signal.

TP Link WiFi router thought it would be great but it has been very disappointing.
So far the worst wireless router I have purchased and installed. Something with this router does not like my PS5 and the test speeds are horrible. This router also has something against my work laptop VPN and my work laptop speeds even right next to the the wireless router are horrible. I have tried port forwarding, changing the MTU size settings, and setting static IP addresses. Very disappointed for the price. I went as far as looking up every port critical to functionality and opening each of them up. This is a security risk waiting to happen and it should not be like this. Now when on wifi with my phone I can get great speeds down load and upload, and then switch to other devices while nothing else is using the bandwidth and my speeds drop from MBPS to KBPS there is something wrong and this had been from the out of box settings and set up all the way through all the changes just to try to make it work. Direct internet speeds without going through this are between 400-500mbps Down load and upload. So why the extreme drop going through this wifi router? Yes I also made sure all firmware has been updated. Coverage and every thing else works fine except for those 2 devices. Do not know what to do next. Updated 02/18/2026 My wife (a desktop support specialist) tried calling and chatting with TP several times and their advice was less than helpful. Never buying this brand again. Buying a new one different brand. we'll see how that goes and that will be a real test...

Fast, powerful, configurable, and reasonably priced.
This router is fast, and has the same range as my Netgear plus satellite had. More importantly, you can configure this router to do things my Netgear wouldn't: - turn on and off individual bands (most "things" will only talk on 2.5G) - each of the 3 bands can have its own passcode, making it very easy to keep printers etc on 2.5G, with phone & laptop on 5G. - isolate IoT devices from the rest of your wifi. - it has a usb port, that can hold a usb drive as a sort of poor-person's network drive.

Wifi 7 triband is High speed, No lag
Great quality high speed wifi router. I didnt need an extender to reach my garage like my old router and the best part, there was no lag while watching online videos. I have 15 devices connected at the same time and it works great. Can have up to 120 connected devices. You can set up a guest network with a separste password from the house network.

Great Alternative to Company Equipment
So far after a couple weeks of use it has been fantastic. The tp link app is easy to set up and makes configuring the router a breeze! For more customization, go to the router configuration page on your browser and tweak some extra settings. Having the ability to separate devices, isolate them, and keep them from accessing other network devices is an amazing feature for certain smart devices that you dont want to communicate to other devices or the internet. You also have the ability to hide your networks and create guest networks. Utilize this! Overall coming from Xfinity gateways, this is a HUGE step up in home network performance. Tip: You can connect an external drive to the usb port on the router and have an easy setup network storage device!

Good quality, little issue with having third party.
It is good quality, and wifi 6 can reach as far as 25 meters inside concrete building. drawbacks for me, i have to control it through a third party, and multiple of subscription options. It realy did not feel private at all.

Great wifi7 router at a great price - note US plug
Good signal with optional IoT network, well made, good value. Easy to use. Integrates with TPlink app which works well. Highly recommended for WiFi 7 on a budget. Note comes with US plug, so needs a UK plug separately
