I am an engineer, not a professional photographer. My wife is a full-time science teacher, member of Minnesota dragonfly society, and part-time birder. We camp, hike, and travel. Our Cannon Rebel with accessories took wonderful pictures, but we gave it to our daughter who is an outdoor naturalist; because of the Rebel's size and weight, we rarely used it. Usually, our iPhones are mostly good enough until distance prevents identification. Faced with an upcoming trip to the mountains and jungles of Central America, I researched add-on telephoto lens. None had raving reviews, and all recommended tripods to deal with the bulky lens weight. This smaller lens and sturdy cage provided an alternative. Wow, I'm impressed. The cage is solid and protects the camera extremely well without hindering convenience of use. The lens clips to a belt loop, and screws on in 20s, and is light enough to manipulate the camera without a bulky tripod. It auto-focuses and takes out point and shoot iPhone up a level. I plan to look into some other accessories as well, like filters.

I got this NEEWER 2X teleconverter hoping to use it with my phone’s wide and ultra-wide lenses, but I ended up only being able to use it on my telephoto lens. I’m using a SmallRig phone adapter, and the teleconverter just wouldn’t line up or fit securely with the wide or ultra-wide lenses, only the center telephoto worked. If you’re looking to use this lens on anything except your phone’s telephoto lens, double-check compatibility with mounts, because in my case, it was too loose and kept rotating or just wouldn’t sit right. It was easy to screw in and use, no issues with installing it, the weigh was nice and not too heavy. This was one of the most affordable lenses I could find for phones. When I did use it with the telephoto, it was honestly a bit too zoomed in for what I wanted, it kind of overshot the sweet spot. For the wide lens, if I managed to get it to sit there, it was way too zoomed out, so it didn’t really serve my purpose. I was mainly hoping to get a tighter, higher-quality closeup out of my wide lens, but the fit just wasn’t there. On the bright side, the build quality is really solid. When I was able to use it, I didn’t notice much artifacting, smudging, or blur, even when zoomed in so if your phone’s lens is good quality like the S25 Ultra, the results should be pretty clean. I could see some people maybe having issues with older phones, but for me, image quality wasn’t a problem at all. In the end, I ended up returning it because it just wouldn’t fit my wide or ultra-wide lenses securely, and that was my main use case. Maybe with some tweaks like a rubber grommet or a different mounting setup, it could work, but out of the box, it didn’t fit my needs. If you’re just looking to use it on your telephoto lens and want a strong 2x zoom, it should do the job. Just make sure it’s going to fit your particular phone and lens mount before you buy.

This NEEWER HD 65mm Telephoto Phone Camera Lens works well with decent clarity and the hood helps. Liked the build and attachment. Only issue is minimum focus distance is too far... you can’t get as close to the subject as I’d like. Otherwise solid 4 stars. All that being said, there is good value for the money that you receive. And the fit and finish in the appearance is impeccable.

Perfect lens for my iPhone. It is heavy, which means it’s made out of good quality in my opinion. Just what I need for my son track meets.

Caution for iPhone Pro Max. This does not work with the camera features on any of the Neewer lens and the cage. Iphone will not use the camera with the lens attachment. I have purchase 3 lens, 2 telephoto type lens, the microscope, and the do not work with the phone.

Obwohl ich Anfänger in der Makrofotografie bin, macht dieses Objektiv Freude. Mit dem Iphone 16 pro max etwas umständlich zu bedienen. Durch die verschiedene Linsen erfreulich viele Anwendungen möglich. Im Gegensatz zum "NEEWER 2X Konverter nur für Teleobjektive" kann ich dieses Makroobjektiv empfehlen.
