TotalBoat Thickset Deep Pour Epoxy Resin - 1 Gal Casting Kit, 1/2"-2" Pours

This epoxy was super easy to use thanks to the simple 1:1 mix ratio. I used it for several charcuterie boards and was able to make three boards from one kit, so the value was absolutely worth it considering the return on the finished boards. The pour was smooth, and adding color was very straightforward. The epoxy mixed evenly and cured exactly as expected. As long as you follow the instructions, it’s pretty much foolproof. Overall, I’m very happy with the results and will definitely be using TotalBoat epoxy again for future projects.

Total boat is the best as well as affordable epoxies around. I've used several over 40 years and total boat is one of my top three I use. They offer several types for different applications. Deep pour is tried/true. Clear, low bubbles. I suggest an electric mixer and follow the time for mixing. Not mixing well can break your job and loose $$$. Be patient, mix well and follow the ratio of mix as they can vary. I highly recommend total boat!

So this is the best value I found for a good quality epoxy, easy to mix, takes around 4 hours to setup so not the fastest but it hardens really well and bubble free, I have even used this for making carbon fiber parts and works great!

I love this resin. I can make so many different things. I have made skulls and elephants and wood/resin bowls as well as many other items with it. It comes out nice and clear easy to work with adding colors or just plain. Great value for the cost. 48 hour cure time.

Tried cheaper epoxy resin thinking they were all the same, but Total Boat is the only one that I have gotten consistent results with and a perfect casting every time. They cost a little more, but this resin is the go too when you need it done right the first time. They are now my only epoxy resin product that I will use from now on!

I’ve only used it once so far, but so far I love it. It thickens up super fast so I don’t have to check on it every hour for the first day to make sure there aren’t any leaks. I’ll come back and update my review if I find negatives or new unexpected positives. EDIT: I’m not sure if this is worth removing a star because it’s kind of an obvious side effect of thick epoxy. Because it’s thick and cures quickly, it doesn’t do a great job of filling small voids. I made a chaotic endgrain cutting board using scraps and this epoxy. It worked great except for the fact that there are voids all over the board. The epoxy is just too thick to squeeze between a lot of the pieces.
