I actually bought this for myself though, because we are leaving on a 2 week vacation and I was tired of the normal red tor=e nail polish and I wanted something fun and exciting. It helps that most of my clothes are blue or green. This polish is a blue/ green glitter polish. It is very shimmery. I did notice that it dried very quickly which was great as I have a lot of packing to do. It is a water based polish that goes on very smoothly. But wanted to say that I love the fact that it has no odor, seems non-toxic and dries fast. The Pinky Mermaid color is beautiful. It is very sheer, so if you are looking for more opacity, then you'll want to paint an opaque color on first and then paint the pinky mermaid color over it, to give your nails the pretty iridescent sheen. It looks good all by itself, too, and I had to add at least 3 coats to get the amount of color I wanted. I did a basecoat first, then 3 layers of the Pinky Mermaid, then two coats of topcoat for durability.
